Hello everyone!

Today I got my AoR and another sheet of docs required. They asked to redo my background ScheduleA, to send the payment receipt, copy of my husband passport and photos passport size of me.

I wanna ask you how u did your Schedule A so I can do it right this time. Can anyone help me please?

Thanks! ;)
It's good you hear from them, when I was filling out my forms, I understand the same thing everyone else do, I just wrote information about the last 10 years, then I found info in this thread that there were asking people to put information since age 18, so I completed the information, I hope it works.

I think you are having good progress with your app so far.

Can you share your timeline with us, because it's been already 3 months and 1 week we applied and have no news yet ???

GCMS notes are basically what has been done on your file. The sponsor has to request them but, the applicant has to sign a release form. The release form can be emailed to the applicant and emailed back before it's attached to the request. I've just printed off 20 copies and will have my husband sign them when I go to see him. Then, I can request our notes whenever I want.
Don't be scared to send a CSE to the VO if you want to know where your file is at. Of course, don't do it all the time but, if you haven't heard anything since April, go ahead. You could get a form reply or a doc request. Either way, at least it's something.
Thanks a lot Ksimental, I think we will go ahead and fill out those papers. I just want to get more info on that : What is the difference between sending an email to the VO of Mexico and the GCMS? Once the papers filled out online, how do we get access to our info? Do we then need to ask for our notes and if yes how? Im sorry for all those questions but really think those notes can help us know a bit more where we stand. Thanks a lot

Sending an email will probably get you a form response but, it depends on what you are asking. If you have a specific question or concern, you may get a more in depth response. If you are missing any documents, an email may jump-start them to ask for them. I've sent a CSE a few times and each time, the response has said the same thing. No one knows where our file is. Sigh...
If you apply for your notes, it will take 30 days to receive them by email if that's what you choose. Your notes will contain anything that has been done on your file up to the date you request them so when you get them, it will not include info from the last 30 days. This is why some people choose to request their notes every month.

Gamyover, have you received any communication from DF at all? Or have you sent them a CSE? I know your ECAS says "medicals received". Ours still says nothing. The last I heard was that they haven't received our application yet but, CIC sent it on Aug 26. My MP says it's probably in a pile in their mail room. Backlog from the strike. Such great news. Ugh.

Hi Ksimental, not I haven't hear anything from them. I haven't sent a CSE either. ECAS still the same too :(
I'll wait two more weeks because they say usually CIC contact you around 3 months after applied but now we have to consider the strike. There is somebody from June that got news, so it should be a matter of time to hear from them. Your MP might be right about our files being there on a pile. Sigh.

Im going crazy here... I check my husband's email 3 times a day to see if he received anything from immigration.. Received AOR on May 22 and haven't heard from CIC since, and my hubby's medicals expire on January 4... Getting close. I hope they won't make us do it again, it's kinda they fault if we just lost 3 months. Anybody was in that situation and CIC gave an extension?

Bttmlt, have you received anything yet? I know you're in front of me in the pile of apps...!

Hello Everyone,

WE have been waiting since May 03, 2013. This is when we got our AOR. They requested more papers, and in October they requested more papers again. Today we received this email:

"The file is currently under review.
The security verifications are being done right now.

No additional information is required from applicant right now. We will contact him as soon as the application is completed or if information is needed."

How much longer do you think we will have to wait?
Are we any closer?

Thanks,
Crystal

We apply si

I think it's been so much time till you hear from them. I think you should send a Case Specific Enquiry and ask them what's going on with your file.

I was advice to wait to the 3 month mark after my Sponsor Approval to send them a CSE and ask them what's going on.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding =)

Yes, you can get the medical exam conducted by any Panel Physician. Just keep in mind that the closer you get the medical exam to the date you mail the application, the more flexibility you'll have later with the landing date and the less likely you'll need to redo the medical exam (since it expires 12 months after the day it was conducted and can be extended to max 15 months if everything else is done) so try to mail the application asap after the medical exam.
