They also left the principal applicant area blank and did not check the box that indicates its the same as above, is yours like this as well ?

But how could they write the case file number when (most) dont have one yet? Did your spouse do his medicals within Canada aswell?

Hmmm, you are right about that, apparently that was the issue with the india applicants. But, yes, how can you if you dont even have a number yet ? No, he did his in GDL

Mine the doctor checked off same as above. He also said they were being sent to CIC ottawa, but our visa office was Mexico City..

Its been pretty quiet, no news for anyone ?

Someone on the Guatemala thread received an AOR from Mexico a couple of days ago... at least that is something?!

@mc1234. How annoying. It is frustrating how they keep us in the dark about everything. They need a better system for letting us check our file's status. If ECAS were actually reliable/useful, you would have known something was up with the medicals a long time ago. Grr

WHen my husband did his medicals, the doctor filled in MY information (sponsor) in the principal applicant section, which I KNEW was wrong (I wasn't there at the time, but I called him and he insisted that this was the proper way of filling it out). Siiiiigh I guess we will never know until they contact us!!!

Honestly at this point I dont care about the money for the extra medical if we had to do it again! I just want to get it done, whatever that may be. I am happy the embassy contacted us last week and gave us the opportunity to show proof that we did it, and they are trying to find it which again I am grateful for.. just really frusterating, my spouse could have already probably landed. It wierd, because the medical is like the last thing I thought would ever cause delays.. If I see my spouses e-cas change to medicals recieved I will cry of happiness and relief, lol.

Was it just AOR or did they request other documents along with it? Just curious about the new process....

With all the info you provided let's hope it makes it easier for them to pull up the medicals, on the positive side it's the medicals and not your relationship in question, so yay!

Yes that is deftinatly something to be thankful for.

I was just thinking that with this new SSP or SPP that we will need, it's going to be a real pain for us outside Mexico. We have to get the Mexican Embassy in our country of residence to order it(not alway close to home) after we receive the e-mail from the Canadian Embassy in Mexico. Of course we have to produce the letter requiring it before they will order it. We wait for the Embassy to do it's thing. I'm not sure how or to where it will be mailed but once it is shipped back here we will need to get it translated and verified that it's an official translation and then we need to send it back to the Canadian Embassy in Mexico. I believe that all security clearances require official translations. Correct me if I'm wrong. We've been to our local Embassy and they have no idea what this SPP or SSP is yet. I'm a little frustrated. Just more waiting time.

Just went to get the PGR this mornig....they are sooo slow but they said they are taking about 5 days now sinces there´s not a lot of people asking for it in that office.

they asked me to call on friday...they might even have it by then.

Small question: Do ssp and pgr certificates have to be traducted to english before sending to visa office?

That's not bad, usually it's 10 business days

I sent a case specific inquiry on Oct 9 asking for an extension on my medicals and havent received an answer yet, I will have everything else (PGR, sponsor questionnaire and RPRF) ready next week but I haven´t gotten an answer on the medicals.

Should i just go to DF and get the medicals again without getting an answer, wait for them to answer or send everything else (although they asked to send everything together to avoid delays) and then send the medicals if I have to get them again?

dont redo the medical by yourself, you have to wait for them to ask you. They will send you a sheet beforehand to take with you to the doctors so that they can match it up to your file.. you don't want to cause confusion with the medical, even the smallest mistake thats not your fault can cause a lot of delays (take my case as an example) :(

Don't forget to send a copy of your PR fee receipt to Mississauga, that will also cause delays. I sent that off as soon as I paid for the fee online.
