Can't remember if I asked this or not, are checking the medicals the last step before issuing the PPR? Thanks.

I don't think so. I think that is done in the beginning.

Sigh, thats what I thought too..

Have you figured out things with the medical, did it get sorted ? Hopefully we all start getting some movement soon, with all those approvals it felt like things were speeding up. We are still waiting to get the AOR from the embassy, I am getting so impatient, but of course there will be much more waiting left, but each little communication gives me another burst that something is actually happening !

Quick question, I have just gone through the process of changing my ID back to my maiden name, do you think I should inform CIC or should I wait till I receive the divorce certificate at the end of November in order to not cause any confusion ?

oh edgar, I am so angry at my country for you and what you are going through to be with your wife, it has certianly crossed the line of ridiculous. I would have assumed you would have your PPR by now, have you sent an enquiry ?

Nothing yet.. I have no idea what happened with them :( Its such a sucky feeling because you know you are so close to the end but if they are lost, well here goes another 2 months of waiting. It just sucks. On the other hand, before I was so stressed because I didnt know what the hold up was which I am glad to know now..

Thats just awful. I cant even imagine how I would be if I had to even wait half as long as you and your wife :(

Oh that must be so frusturating, especially when you know you did everything you were suppose to do, I was reading in another thread that a whole pile of people from india had missing medicals, there was apparently some issue with the medical office not writing the correct file number on the reports, seems there is at least 20 people from there with lost medical results

Are you serious?? On our sheet the doctor wrote my spouses passport number.. I think there may be some confusion because my spouses medicals were done in Canada rather then Mexico..:S I am honestly not entirely sure what has happened, which is another reason why I am frusterated. Everyones E-cas seemed to change to Medical Recieved and ours never did but I never thought anything of it. I just hope if the medical is lost (for whatever reason) they just sent us the request to do it again rather then waiting for nothing.

Well I guess doing it again saves hassle but certainly not money, our ecas doesnt say anything about the medical yet but i am hoping that is because we havent received the AOR fom DF, I wonder if I should enquire as well, I will try and find that thread again about the india medicals, although I think this may be a doctor specific issue.

hmm, I just checked our medical receipt as well and it also just has a passport number written at the top, apparently they are suppose to put the case file number (UCI).

But how could they write the case file number when (most) dont have one yet? Did your spouse do his medicals within Canada aswell?
