Ya. It must be less severe. I would assume.

Actually my husbands best friend entered usa with a coyote when he was about 19.
And his mom now owns a bar in Laredo texas, I'm not sure if she got married and has status now, but I know my husbands friend is still illegal.

When he first crossed. The first 5 years or so he went back and forth from mexico across the river at least once a year sucessfully. But he hasn't been back to mexico now in I think 4 years.
So he's been living there for 10 years now illegally.

Haha same! If you dont mind me asking, what did you send in as additonal proof?

Well I took a trip in July, over my birthday. So we sent proof of that trip (boarding passes etc). Pics from my birthday. FB screen shots (didn't think of that first time around). Copies of my ID since I changed my last name legally to his. And my life insurance policy through work showing him as the beneficiary. If that doesn't work.. I'm all out of ideas :)

Haha, I think thats great proof :D

We got a new gym contract so we sent that, as well as his medical insurance for him in Canada with me as the beneficiary, some updated mail being to our place, and a letter of support we sent it with his extension! I hope thats enough

Yeah I'm sure it will be enough. It doesn't seem like many people get called for an interview. But the embassy's "don't call me.. we'll call you" policy makes me nervous.. as I never have any idea what's going on! :) Our ecas hasn't been upadated at all.

Oh wow. I was just talking about this yesterday.. What does the inside Mexico PGR request look like, I am assuming they asked you for the informe de datos registrales?

yeah the letter had a link to instructions on the CIC site for getting the informe de datos registrales. it took almost 2 months to straighten this out and finally get the PGR letter. so frustrating when the process is delayed so much because of a mistake like that.

Ours had a link to both, so I guess the gave us the option to either or. How frusterating!

That's what I was afraid of. The seem to make some careless errors. Our PGR letter said for Temporay Residency, not Permanent. But I don't think it will an issue.. as the PGR is the same. Keep us updated.. you could get your PPR any day now! :)

thanks, i'm pretty sure that the ppr is coming really soon. i don't know if we should be expecting an email or a letter in the mail. we've had a mix of both so far. just makes me worry that they will mail it and it will get lost. i keep bugging our consultant to see if we have anything yet.

Hmm.. I thought they e-mailed you?? I hope they do!

Yeah based on the thread PPR is usually an email!

My biggest fear is that even though your file is complete they will just hold onto it and make you wait .. I really hope that doesnt happen >:(

LOL I was thinking that too.. like they would realize they had processed it too fast and not wanting to set too high expectations.. just hold on to it for a bit. haha Wow, we really don't have much faith in them.
