Hi guys!

WE GOT PPR just now! You can see my timeline...

Don't know if it triggered something, but we asked for our GSMC notes yesterday, and got our PPR today...

Good luck to everyone!

Can someone tell me what does GSMC notes mean and whats it for? and what does COPR mean? So confused with these terms.

GCMS notes are a set of notes by Immigration officers about your Application and a history of your application's handling . CoPR is your Confirmation of Permanent Residence document once you are approved you receive one to enter Canada .

Hey guys, I'm haven't some doubts with my application as I'm working on it. From another post, someone told me that its a red flag to CIC since I haven't met my wife's parents in law. Yet, I have a good reasons for that and I have a few evidences to support it.

What do you guys think is it a really big concern in this case? It's so hard to find other people on this forum in the same situation as me.

Hi ,
If the reason of not meeting your in Laws is legit there will be no big concerns abut it ( Example : they can't travel to your country due this and that etc )

I think to me its legit. Venezuela just so dangerous and you can't really trust anyone in the Caracas Airport. Indian business got robbed and murdered last year cause someone from security customs notified it. Not sure is is that legit reason to CIC though.

Yes it's legit , you can say for security reasons they couldn't attend .

Hey shaffi,

My lawyer just notified me since he receives the emails. He didn't inquire. I'm still in the process of sending PGR as it's getting translated, and fingerprints are getting digitalized and sent to RCMP. So was surprised to get interview date....but not complaining! Nope still no news on ARC....still waiting to begin that process!

Hey Jalisse! Any news on the interview yet ?

Hello there,

Has anyone applied on January 2017 and the VO is in Mexico? I know there's a tread for January applicants but there are few from Mexico and I just want to know how the processing times are for Mexico. I know is a little early to ask but now that the timeline has change from 17 month to only 12makes me wonder if I can dream to have my husband home next year! sigh! one can only hope for the best!

Hi Shaffi,

No not yet! Interview is feb 28. I will be going down too so I go with my husband. Seeing we have to bring more documents. In the meantime PGR got sent. And fingerprints have been sent to RCMP. Once interview is done we'll see what happens next.

How's your process going?

Hey Jalisse, nothing yet since PGR Request on the 28th of September. Today is our anniversary, feeling very emotional, this situation sucks. I pray to God we hear something soon.

Just curious about the average time the Mexico VO is taking to process applications. I tried looking at the spreadsheet but it's hard to tell if the updates are correct etc. Maybe someone has some insight that has been following

Hi ,
I think they contact applicants 3 months after PGR was delivered . I have seen few cases like that including mine .

Our app was received Dec 29. I was wondering about the processing timeline as well. We got a letter Jan 20 that I was approved as a sponsor and our app was sent to Mexico

I know but we got PGR pretty early in the process. We're almost 9 months in now. Nartcr GCMS notes said next app review date of February 4th. So hopefully we hear something soon. Still waiting on my notes too.
