Thank you .

Hey Nara, I hope me and Bellatopozio hear something soon! My case is not as simple and straightforward as yours because my husband did overstay. But he doesn't require ARC as the time has already passed on his exclusion of 1 year.

Is MyCIC the same as Online Services?

Does anyone know if COPR can be collected from embassy ?

My CIC is different from ECAS. Both systems can be unreliable at times.

Hi guys, I asked the lawyer information about my case, this is what he replied.

Sorry this sponsorship is taking so long. As you can see by the attached current processing time these applications are now taking 12 months. This is no doubt to the transfer of resources after December 7 which promises new applications will take now only 6 months. Looks like the older applications like yours were thrown under the bus.

Mexico does not have to reply to my requests for information and in fact after December 7 they are not responding. They will not reply to any request until June when the 12 months have passed. (I am hopeful that this will be done by then but Mexico is a very busy post as it now is the catchment processing centre for the Caribbean and much of South America.)

I tried to access the case notes however the privacy commissioner wants both to sign the new attached form. If you would like the case notes please print a copy, sign it and send it back.

I hope you will understand that the only way we can keep our prices reasonable is to avoid numerous messages and e-mails to the visa posts. I have heard from others in fact that constant badgering of the visa post will ensure delay to your application as they are forced to take the file out of the queue and they may, out of understandable human frustration of a busy office, return it to the bottom of the pile.

Get me the signed ATIP release and I will process the request for the notes. It may give a clue to the delay but I suspect that there is nothing wrong because so far the delay is “normal” Too long of course but “normal”. The privacy office in Ottawa legally has 30 days to respond but Mexico can ask for an extension which is always granted.

Seems like we are gonna wait for a while to hear from Mex VO

I just asked my lawyer if I could order my GCMS notes and she told me it will cost $850, but because I'm a client she will only charge me $500!

That's wonderful. Guess we'll have to pass on them.

you can order them without the help of the lawyer

Trust me on this, you can't go wrong with ordering GCMS notes. It's just 5$, and takes less than 5 min. You would need authorization to release info form and your id proof. Very straight forward.

So the update is that my wife just got COPR in hand. It took Mexico City 9 calendar days to send the documents back to her. Everything appear to be order. There is cond 51 in document. To all who are waiting, do not loose hope. You will reach the finish line soon.

As for my wife, she will be here with me sometime in feb or early march. She is working through her resignation process.

I'm have a lawyer and i have successfully ordered notes twice by myself. It costed me $5 each time. You can get your notes yourself even though you have a lawyer.

congrats to you both. I hope I can get the gold email soon too. It's taking too long. But as you say it will come some day.

Okay I'm just worried I might can in "trouble" with my lawyer as it is stated in my contract I can't really do anything on my own or they could end the contract with me. What do you guys think? Will my lawyer find out?!

That's great news Nara. Praying everyday for good news soon!

I don't think he will know that you requested for the notes. That's something personal my lawyer told me he could order them or that Id I want I can do it on my own. I think is tool much what he or she wants to charge for ordering the notes knowing that the procedure is very simple plus only cost 5 dollars. You should do it on your own and don't tell him that you did it.

Its interesting to note that COPR document has special program tagged as "OSI". This is something new. Could be possible that any applications before Dec 7 are tagged under this. Normally, I have seen this for refugee applications. Like UPX for Urgent protection program or FCS - Project focus Afghanistan.
