Hi I mean GCkey account, the online service only shows me 3 lines of my status.
We have 5 lines in eCAS. The first 3 were for:

We received your application on ....
We received your medical results (we sent them upfront because we were going to apply last year)
We sent you correspondence on .... (for Schedule A).

The last 2 we got said
:
We started processing your application on ....
We sent you correspondence on ... (for AOR 2)

I think with the last line, not everyone gets it.

I am not sure if we will see any changes here until DM.

We didn't get the correspondence lines on our ecas. Just the other 3.
I think you'll be fine. There are many reasons why people do things and you've provided them with an explanation. In any case long distance and different countries is never straight forward lol
I am going to see our mp this week coming to hopefully get some answers if we are in queue for interview etc, what our mycic says. Since I still can't link. I sent another tech issue but they responded back with the usual maybe it's not ok the system yet, or you are entering the wrong info. After I have tried a 100 times I am pretty sure I am entering in the correct info! Haha

I think the correspondence lines must be added at the discretion of the IO working on your file. I guess it was nice to see an extra line even if it doesn't really mean much. I get excited any time I see something added because that means they actually looked at your file, even if it was just for the purpose of opening it as they did back in May.

I would think that if you are going to get an interview, you should be in queue as you are a December applicant. I'm not sure if your MP can find out that from IRCC because my MP told me the VO doesn't give out the information if you are requested to go for the interview. I think Msb found out by asking the VO directly. However, as we know, what one person was told is sometimes not the case for others?!

I don't know what could be the issue with linking the account in your case. We tried many times with different combinations of info entered. I don't remember what worked. Sometimes it's just one word that it doesn't like. I don't find my GCKey account very useful these days as nothing ever changes on there. Even the RCMP request for fingerprints correspondence has not been entered there. It really depends on who is working on your file and how diligent they are at updating.

Good luck with that and update us with anything you find out from your MP.

We got the line March 28 they were processing and got a letter for the official aor2 May 21 lol. Hope that doesn't mean the officer is super slowwww.
I will post when I talk to the mp. Even just a little info just so we can plan a little. If we are in queue for interview then we pretty much would know it won't be until November so we can plan for me to go in October to see my husband. We all know it takes time. But you would think that it would be much less work for them if they gave like a monthly tiny update or something. Instead they have people emailing and ordering notes to see what's happening because they are just silent for months at a time. Surely they could have a better system.

Exactly! However, when does the government ever do things logically?

I hope you get some answers so you can plan your visit. I am in the same boat as we have not seen each other since January, when we submitted our application. (Sadly, when I saw my partner the last time, we spent most of the time filling out the new forms again ... so not exactly what I call quality time together). Right now he doesn't have much time to see me because he is working 12 hour days lately because he knows that when he comes here (if he gets his PR), he won't be able to find a job right away or will have to go back to school as they don't recognize his credentials in Canada. Asi es la vida!

I believe all Canadian government offices even in different countries observe all Canadian holidays. But this holiday confuses me a little because I don't think it's a stat holiday.

I understand! This also confuses me because on the website of Mexico, does not mark as a holiday, but in Canada if! http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/mexico-mexique/offices-bureaux/holidays-feries.aspx?lang=spa&menu_id=69
It is so weird I know. I think because this holiday is actually provincial. Like for example today in Newfoundland it's a regular old Monday there, they had their holiday last Wednesday. So all government offices in Canada at some point this week had a day off, it's not a federal stat holiday so it's at the discretion of each province.

Hi there. has anyone ever tried the automated phone service of IRCC to find out the status of you application? For example I called this morning and entered in my information. The automated service said to me if your application was sent or received before Aug 25, 2016 your application has not been processed. So I wonder then does that mean anyone who is after that date should be processed? My date received was Sept 2, 2016 so very close but Im not sure what that guarantees, if anything at all.

I didn't even know there was a line you can call and check! lol that does seem strange. I thought that as of December 2016 applications were 12 months and before that was still the normal time as they start before.

I spoke to our MP this morning. They were so great. She said give them about 7 days although it will probably be sooner. Said they will get as much info as they can for us and will get to the bottom of why we still can't link our application in mycic. Let's see what happens
