Hi all,

I would like to start a thread for those who have had an e-client status change to reflect 'Medical results have been received'

I have read many posts which indicate that a PPR can be expected shortly after this change, including posts where people have received their PPR on the day they noticed their e-client change, or within a few days after noticing the change.

I have also read posts where e-client has updated with 'Medical results have been received' but the PPR wasn't received for many weeks or months afterwards.

So in order to determine whether there is any truth in this I would like to encourage everyone who has had this status change to report their timelines on this thread and most importantly report what happened afterwards including how long it took to receive the PPR or if any other status changes followed before receipt of PPR, for example 'Decision Made' or something similar.

Obviously there are many factors to be taken into account such as security & background checks etc. before the PPR can be issued. Assuming all of this has been done there seems to be something out there to suggest that it is quite likely you can expect your PPR after this update to e-client, the only question is how soon after?!

I'll start with my own timeline which coincidentally had a status change on e-client this week of 'Medical results have been received'.

Thanks,

i am also waiting for PASSPORT REQUEST 8)......... ;)..HOPEFULLY THIS MONTH BRING GOOD NEWS FOR PPR ;D

I got my Ecas updated with 'Medical results have been received' on 3-sep-2012 and still waiting for PPR! ;)

I got third line on 3rd December 2012 and still waiting for PPR. After third line I was requested New Schedule A form. I have sent them. After this They requested New/Updated police certificate. I have sent them.

Now what?..................

I got third line from October 2012
Till now no update >:( :-[

As per the trend shows.......after Medical Results have been received line of ECAS.......4 to 5 months average for

PPR request......But as I saw many threads in 2013 things are happening very rapidly......the VO has to finalize all pending cases that have their 3rd line on ECAS.......Thats why I strongly feel that in couple of months you all get your PPR Requests........Because before the MAY-13 they have to finalize cases........So Chill and be happy....you all will get your PPR very soon.

Secondly as per Qorax....if 3rd line appeared on ECAS it means that your Medical is approved and Seconded by Otawa.....and it also indicate that your Security check also completed......and only thing is left is right time.....for PPR that is very soon.........

As per Qorax reply

1. NO. After the meds all processing gets standardized, there's then no concept of the wait-queue based on MIs. Each case proceeds on it's own merit, based on it's security clearance.

2. "MR" at e-CAS usually reflects that ur security checks r complete/satisfactory... and the pps with PRVs r under despatch. The meds 'evaluation' is done typically imdt on receipt at the RMO (off course based on their workload, read quantities to be handled) and anomalies, if any, is typically (again) intimated to us by max 4-6 weeks. If one doesn't hear anything by then -- it's safe to assume that his/her meds stand cleared. It's another matter that after the meds get 'seconded' our IOs run the security checks on us... it's success gets a nod to PHEP section, for PPR (not in the case of CHC-ND) and that "MR" status appears on our e-CAS.

Background Checks:
How a decision is made on your application

After ur application package reaches the Visa Processing Office [in short - VO] from the CIO, a CIC officer [in short - IO] scrutinizes everything [eligibility check] once more & then begins ur background check process, which is handled by many of the VO's staff, including other agencies.

The IO will make a decision on ur application* based on the immigration requirements at the time u applied, including:
-whether u meet the eligibility criteria for the program under which u applied [ur edn & exp is definitely on their radar].
-whether u have the funds to support urself and ur family when u arrive in Canada.
-the results of ur medical exam.
-the information/clearances received on ur security.

*The VO processing ur application will contact u if u need to send more documents or go to an interview.

Variance in Processing times
The length of time it takes to process applications varies depending on where u applied [the VO], how u applied [qualitative & quantitative docs] and the ease of ur security clearances.

U may be able to avoid unnecessary delays by timely notifying the VO of any changes to ur personal info, such as ur address, contact details, or a change in the makeup of ur family;

Your application will be delayed if:
-Apps have incomplete supporting docs, or
-Docs aren't translated, if required, or
-additional background checks are needed, or
-there are criminal or security problems related to ur application, or
-ur family situation is not clear [reasons could include a divorce or an adoption that is not yet complete or child custody issues that have not been resolved], or
-the VO processing your application has to consult with other CIC offices in Canada or abroad.

BTW, Background & Security Checks will be done on all applications, whatever stream it may be applied, however the outcome [read: speed] of which much depends on ourselves - the way we presented our case file, how meticulous were we to document everything, and our timely response to their queries. Isn't it the same when we partake any project in the corporate world?... do a good job of whatever u do -- that makes the going smoother, easier & faster!

Nothwithstanding the foregoing, a bit of luck does play-up for anything & everything that we do, isn't it? It's the same here as well...

Hello

I am also waiting for PPR, got "MEDICAL RECIEVED LINE" on the 27th of december 2012, still waiting :) :)

I sent New application for permanent residence, Schedula A form, Right of permanent residence fees and Original Police clerance certificate on 3rd November 2012. Did Medical on 7th November 2012.

I got third line on 10th December 2012 and still waiting for PPR.

On 6 December 2012, they asked to submit New Schedule A/Background Declaration form as the recently submitted form contained a gap.

Then again on January 02 2012, they said "Please submit a fully-completed Schedule A form for yourself, within 30 days, ensuring that all months and years since the age of 18 are accounted for, A gap appears in your personal history, between 11-2003 and 02-2004"

On my inquiry 8 Feb 2012, I recieved email from London that:

Dear Sir/Madam,
Please be advised that the documents submitted await review.
Yours Sincerely,

NXR

Now i have sent again email this month to know current status of my file.

Any idea, when to expect PPR?

And is there anybody who had to submit Schedule A form Twice??? I hope its doesn't make trouble....

On 6 December 2012, they asked to submit New Schedule A/Background Declaration form as the recently submitted form contained a gap.because you have gap in personal history, at this stage your Security check have started

Then again on January 02 2012, they said "Please submit a fully-completed Schedule A form for yourself, within 30 days, ensuring that all months and years since the age of 18 are accounted for, A gap appears in your personal history, between 11-2003 and 02-2004"

because of error in Personal history....again they asked.....you have to know that personal history is essential for your Security Check
On my inquiry 8 Feb 2012, I received email from London that:

Dear Sir/Madam,
Please be advised that the documents submitted await review.
Yours Sincerely,

Once they satisfy all the forms they refer your case for Security Check

Normally it takes average 4 months after "Medical Results have been received" , and depends on Security Check, but in 2013 things are happening very rapidly and they have to finalize these files before may....so hope for the best and what I feel that you will get your PPR request within Two months........if every thing go smooth.....Don't worry and be happy.......Pray for yourself and for us.....

Now what?..................

Your are very near to your final journey........they are updating your file......and Security Check have initiated.......and in some case Security Check completed in this Stage....."Medical Results have been received" is magic line......and different persons have different interpretation that is following.

1. Your Medical Results Received, Approved and Seconded by Ottawa
2. Security Check at this stage completed.....as per Qorax....
3. Your case is 99% final....and approved...
4. Because of Backlog ....file is waiting for Final Review from IO
5. PPR Request is on the way within two months to four months.

So please chill and don't worry......99% your case is completed.....

thnx

Thanks for detail explanation :)

Is security check different from Background Check?

Now at this stage what are they looking for?

Its just security and criminality checks or they can do job + education verification too?

Hello Mates,

My medical reached in Manila on 4th December and other documents in Singapore on 10th December.

I got the magic line "Medical Results have been Received" on 16th December.

I am also waiting for PPR
