Hi Badar

7th August landed date is the actual landing date on which you are going to land or the cutt of date given by Canadian Immigration?

Yeah looking quite aggressively, trying to settle some interviews but up till now not very hopeful replies. Normally getting same let us know once you are in Canada .

I am SAP HCM Consultant. first priority in Toronto other wise where ever the job will take me have no issue.

Yeah on 7th August I will land InshAllah. Its before the cut-off date given which is 15th October 2013. Spouse passport is expiring in 15th October 2013.

Whats your plan ?

As your medical is done already so sooner or later your will receive the Passport request as well. I did medical in mid feb and passport was requested in May, so hopefully your PPR request is now very near as well.

In contesting the higher salaries paid to lawyers, economists and social scientists, alleging that all diplomatic staff should be seen as equal in value of work and concomitant paycheque, he neglects to consider their specialized qualifications and the years they spent in academia earning those qualifications. On-the-job experience of the diplomatic core is not the equivalent of those specialized qualifications and should not be remunerated in equal salaries.

The union disputes the government's claims about the benefits, and Edwards said if the government was really being fair, it would be willing to discuss the wage gap issue.

The last time the two sides sat down was June 5, and the government presented the exact same offer as it did 20 months ago, said Edwards. There are no new talks scheduled.

Kenney's office said every visa office has core staff that have been deemed "essential" and are not participating in the job action, and there are other staff who are not part of the union because they are "locally engaged" hires.

But those staff members don't have the authority to approve or decline a visa application, according to the union, and adding that staff, in some cases retirees who are being sent abroad, is not making up the shortfall caused by striking workers.

Guys,

I am thinking.......the NYVO received today my passports, they said it can take up to 6 weeks for me to get them back, that will bring it to August 19th...my medicals were done August 30th 2012, do you think they will give me an extension? Or will i have only 11 days to move to Canada????

Now this questions is killing me......I don't know if I should start packing or what.......if they give me an extension I will stay here in the US working for longer.....saving some money.

Let me know your thoughts and experiences.

no my dear i never applied for GCMS, as per my perception, it create a lot of question marks and un answerable questions...even before the interview i didn't applied for GCMS. its purely my own perception. But by the grace of GOD every thing went good for me....now i am stuck up in last stages of PPR. I strongly believe in GOD and he knows better for me.....if its good for me i sure get PPR.....I surrender myself before God......
