'Medical results have been received' and Waiting for PPR

Dear All

I have done my Medicals on 16th Aug and Sent the PPT's along with the doc's ( as demanded by CHC), yesterday on 20th a new line is added in my ecas status "Medical Results have been received". what's the significance of this ? I need advise

Congrats. this means that your medical has been approved by Ottawa and you have passwd the medicals. now wait for the passpoet request

Frankly speaking...my son had to undergo some additional medicals as per CIC which delayed my process else my timeline were same with coolguy...
Its only on 4th July i was able to submit Second medicals as requested my CIC to PVO as per my DMP.
As a family we completed our medicals on 4 April 2013....but never we got this status of MEDICAL RESULTS RECEIVED. Until last week only.

I am bit confused that medicals have been reviewed now as per status or they have already been reviewed..

Then Hope said "Seconded by Ottawa" I didnt understand what does that mean....

I spoke to my Agent today and I informed her that my Ecase is update to Medical Results received she said that means...they have recived your medicals and now they will review your medicals and once you pass the medicals you will passport request.
Medical Results received doesn't mean that medicals are clear and passed...I am really confused.... ????????

This line only appears after medicals are cleared first by New Delhi (regional Office), if you are a Pakistani applicant and then final approval is given by the Medical Board of Ottawa (precisely Surgeon General.

I have my GCMS just recently, which says medicals are passed. So this line only appears when you passed the medicals.

"medicals received" does not have literal meanings but it denotes that Medical after successful clearance have been received at the visa office.

@ Kimy - It's not about paying the installment. It's the matter if we being the permanent residents can get free medical assistance for the first three months as well in any aspect

@ Kimy - It's not about paying the installment. It's the matter if we being the permanent residents can get free medical assistance for the first three months as well in any aspect

I red somewhere in other forum you could claim any medical charge during uncoverage periodt but there are som condition try to consult canadian lawyer

very well said.. i think consultants are the most ill-informed persons about canadian immigration..they are still living in 1998 immigration system..
