Hi, i am a doctor from Pakistan. After doing my MBBS, i am in 3rd year resident training in Anesthesia and recently cleared my IMM as well. I am looking to apply for PR in Canada. When i calculate my CRS points, what option of education should i choose? i am really not sure where to start from and how to calculate my points. Also there is some federal skilled worker option as well and i see people mentioning some NOC numbers? Where are those to be put? I am sorry for such noob questions, forgive my ignorance. Can any one guide me please?

regards

Hi all and thanks for the valuable contributions
Indeed, I’ve done the ECA process and receieved my ECA report and I’ve got ITA 40 days ago and I submitted my profile past week and now I’m AOR .
I’m wonderibg if i should ask the mcc or physicianapply to send the ECA report to cic or just uploading the ECA report in my profile was enough ?

Regards
Hi,

You could calculate the score at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

NOC : 3112
Level of education: Master's or Professional degree needed to practice in a licensed profession

Yes, there is a chance you will get invited to apply for PR with the CRS points. You need to apply with all the required documents once you are invited to get a PR.

To get ECA done firstly you need to create an account with https://physiciansapply.ca/ with one time registration fee and this account is also required for taking licensing exams and sharing of documents in the future.

Once you create an account you need to request for source verification of your degree documents for a fee
https://physiciansapply.ca/services/#source
https://mcc.ca/services/source-verification/
medical council of canada in turn does the verification through ECFMG (Same as USMLE).

Once your medical documents are verified you can apply for ECA.

All the details required are given in the Physiciansapply.ca and mcc.ca website

WES is fine...that's what I did

I'm also a physician by training but not practicing and already applied under NOC 0311 - Managers in healthcare using a WES ECA
What is the final equivalency you got - 'professional degree which requires a licence to practice or master's degree' or just a bachelor?

I am MBBS doctor from India. I have completed my USMLE exams. Also received an ECFMF certificate.

I have created a profile on MCC - paid their fees for Degree evaluation

Normal process: once MCC receives my documents - they will send to ECFMG for verification- ECFMG will send it to our home country( 2-4 Months) - once they receive it back - ECFMG will send report back to MCC- Done - Apply for ECA

Q 1: As, I am already ECFMG certified, Now ECFMG already verified my credentials and my records must have in their database so Do ECFMG still needs to send it to home country and waste 3 months of precious time?

if I am primary applicant I need to do MCC ECA but what if I am dependent on my spouse, will WES canada ECA work?

I have found following information but still process is not clear for ECFMG certified MBBS candidates

Ref MCC website : If you already have an ECFMG International Credentials Services (EICS) number and the exact same credentials have been source verified previously through the ECFMG, you will still need to create an SVR and send your documents to the MCC for review. These documents will then be sent to the ECFMG to confirm that they were successfully source verified. This confirmation process could take between 5 to 10 business day. Once complete, your document status will be shown in your physiciansapply.ca account

Kindly help if you are ECFMG certified and has done the process 5-10 business days after submission of documents
Thanks !
