anyone in Toronto gets test invite yet? This is ridiculous. GTA has the most population in the country, while the number of CIC officers is the same as other places.

The test invite asks us to bring "all your original documents that support your citizenship application (as listed in the document checklist in the citizenship application form)." For instance, I sent them an original letter of employment, and only have a copy. That kinda stuff shouldn't matter, right?

Hi Jangotrick, it looks like you and me are the only Calgary May applicants who didn't get the invite so far. Now June applicants started to receive test invite now as per spreadsheet.
Did you call the CIC call center recently?

I was not required to do so, I simply sent in an original letter of employment with my application.

my advise would be 'never send anything not required'. And no, you don't need to bring any original letter of employment.

Friends,

My local office (Kitchener) is among the slowest offices based on the spreadsheet and word of mouth. Is it legal if I change my address to Edmonton (or elsewhere) where my friend lives? That way I could hope for a faster processing.

I know most people's citizenship applications are not that time sensitive, but US denies me visa because of my nationality and I had to defer my admission to a US university a couple of times by now. It is a terrible situation for people like me with the current administration in states. So the only hope I have to start school is to obtain my citizenship.
