CIC at this moment is swormed with a massive amount of applications. Many people want to beat bill C-24, I guess expect delays until C-24 kicks in.
I tend to believe that too... Looks like lots of applns recently, that could be slowing down AOR responses...

Well... yes... but at the same time let's remember that the fee increased astronomically since January. So we have two forces acting there:
1 - People trying to beat C-24.
2 - A HUGE increase of the fee since January.

So I guess the end result is not that many more applications than normal. I expect a decrease of applications from January to April/May. So maybe the total amount is not that bad.

Thanks for the info. Still last week they started opening up application received last week of April. Still some are getting opened from the third week of April. Still no May applicants AoR. Maybe next week.

Do you remember when they talk about real cost of processing an application ? It's like 800 bucks not 630 !!! I wouldn't be surprised with another fee hicks after implementation date of bill C-24. Remember, higher cost won't slow down people. Citizenship it's not a cup of coffee, you doing it once in your life, so many people will pay thousands of dollars for it. And yes, it was huge fee increase within 6 months, from $2oo in May 2014 to $63o in Jan 2015.

I understand and I agree. However for a lot of people it is not a matter of spending just once in a lifetime. It is a matter of simply not having this amount of money available.

We'll reach "there" soon folks! Keep the faith! Sending positive vibes to all of you fellow May applicants!

Question: When the application is returned because of lack of documents... is it returned before or after the AOR?

Good. So I can assume that if I get the AOR my application will not return anymore, right? Worst case scenario I will get the RQ?

Hi. What's your application type, location & courier used?

That's right!
