Hi, here is my personal experience, hope it helps.
My application was returned on March. But CIC had attached 2 papers, one was telling me what documents they wanted from me,
and the second one was giving me 2 options. the first options is attached the documents they required and then send everything back to continue processing. The other option is withdraw the application (you still need to send this paper back to get refund). So basically, I don't think it will be a new applicant during this case. But I "guess" if I didn't reply them within certain days, then I might have to send a brand new one.
I agree with you.my friend had same situation before and he will take the test next Monday.he applied on March 2015

This is useful information, thanks for sharing!

I just hope they don't start to be inhumanly picky about the last applications before the cut-off date.
We are all humans we we all make minors mistakes like forgetting to put "N/A" in some boxes and stuff.
I really hope (and expect) that they give a very human treatment to those applications.

By the way, we should expect some AORs from May applicants starting monday, right?

That is what I am expecting because its been two weeks since the last week of April applicants started getting their AoR.

one of my friend sent her family application back in April when i asked her help for some questions she said leave it empty if its not related to you thats what she did and didn't put N/A and she got her AOR already ...it means
its not a big issue.

Did anyone in May get an application returned for a mistake/incomplete error? Trying to figure out where they with dates of opening and sending the mistakes back.

Thanks for that, puts me slightly more at ease, although I've never heard of them giving options.

Anyone could explain what would happen to applicants in april to june or it was just an example by cic
It is only example for understanding.

So I assume all of May's applications have a possibility of being returned. Nobody received anything back? If we know who received an application, we'll know which date should be fine for an AOR

Thanks for reply. But should not cic write for example ..... To avoid such confusion. It was so boring to think in every word written by cic from all sides ???
