I can get a bridging open work permit upon AOR which means I can continue to work beyond my visa expiry.i might then put another sponsorship application through and see which one would work better for me. I need all my documents back to put the cec one through

oh i see. i think it takes months to get your app returned to you upon withdrawing. for the fees, 4 months seems to be the stated return time. good luck with your decision!

Just FYI: I withdrew my application and it was never returned to me, even though we specifically (and very politely) asked for it to be returned. I needed some files there too to submit another one, but we had to do without it.

Wow really? I don't get why they won't return the application. I need my translated birth certificate urgently returned back. I don't care if my fees are not returned back promptly. Gonna ask my spouse to ensure that my documents are returned back ASAP otherwise sigh might have to just pay money again for translations :(
Thanks for the insight :)

Received AOR-2 for my spouse from NDVO office with UCI and application number.

I'm going through a roller coaster omg lol. So I checked today and they are working on my application now. Can view this under status. No decision made but I can see it's in process. Guess asking for my documents back isn't an option now that it's in process.

Received an email from my VO:

This application has passed eligibility and background reviews. On 11 August 2014, we sent a request for the Appendix A form and original passport. The file will be forwarded for finalization review by a Visa Officer after the requested documents have been received.

What do you think??? ;)

that is your passport request! very common for applicants to have to redo their Appendix A forms.

Hi zinaramirez,

Would you mind telling which state you live in?

Didn't know there was a chart. I sent the RPRF and an upfront med exam with my application.
I'm from Washington state but have been staying in Canada for over two years by continuously extending my visitor visa, and leaving the country occasionally. The longest I've been out of the country was two weeks.

I received a fair amount of border "trouble" whenever I left and reentered the country (three times), with some officers accusing me of abusing my visitor status. However, they always let me through anyway.

COPR Received: August 18, 2014

My mailing address was Canadian. In fact, both my residential and mailing addresses are Canadian but they are different; it was mailed to the mailing address.
