IMO, CIC certainly has a bias in Stage 1.

What's even more troubling is that CIC has preferential treatment for any applicants going through New Delhi office because there is no way that other offices have such a backlog as ND does. Majority of immigrants in the past few years came from India and the question is how do they land in Canada before some people even get their Stage 1 AOR's even though the person going through ND submitted their application a month later? For instance, not a single PPR has been issued through Vienna office SINCE APRIL (this forum is a living proof); on the other hand, ND applicants get their PPR's in 2 weeks on average!!!!!!!! Vienna has nothing on their plate compared to New Delhi. Something is just not right.

We should write to Jason Kenney about this discrimination, please write everybody. I will write tonight. At least, he should know - what we are going thru and the discrimination his department is doing to us!!! Please write - guys and gals....please....please...

I couldn't get through to CIC today. I just wrote my MP. This is my suggestion to him:


Once the applications are sent to the second stage of processing, in the Visa office of the country of the applicant (in my case, Manila) they should be put back in order of when they were originally received by CIC, so that applications received first get processed first.

steph C: Did you mean CIC or CPC-M ? Which order did you mean in your letter ? B/c CIC is actually outland offices like Manila VO. CPC-M is the office who received the application first. If Manila received your application today but you submitted it before a person whose application already in Manila then how Manila will put them in order ? By the Manila received date ? or By Mississauga received date ? Please clarify. Thanks,

It's a good idea to contact our MP's.. I will try to do that. I am 11 days ahead of you, at 105 days and still no 'word' from CIC on my sponsorship approval. But as for your processing it looks like it's right in line with the rest of the May applicants (before May 18th). You should be the next one to get AOR.

Since later May applicants, June applicants and now at least one July applicant have already received their AOR I do not see myself "inline" at all. CIC has had its opportunity to meet its posted deadline on its website. It has exceeded it once it started processing application received after mine.

The thing is, you're not the first and won't be the last... there are still people waiting from months before ours as well. I'm frustrated too, but we're not the only ones going through this so we're no one special in their eyes... it's not like anyone can speed the process up for us, and anyone who claims to is wrong. :/

Too many questions! I mean when it gets to Manila, Manila should treat them in original order they were received in Mississauga, to what extent that is possible.

stephC: We wish for that might really happen! That would never happen probably. They should at least fix the problem in Mississauga. They can hire some of us who already understand the process and help them sorting out the application according to their receiving date. They need some good thought. They really need good thought about the process in CPC-M. lets raise the issue with our respectice MPs. Thanks again stephC.

If I am mistaken I apologize. I could have sworn the post post said he/she got their AOR on July 31st. The thread was for July applicants.
Though really what does it matter. The AOR came well after me and there are more June applicants getting AOR's.

I have contacted my MP last week and she send me back an email saying they are still working on the file of April 30. She couldnt explain why people who apply after me got approve before me. To contact her if my application exceed the date show on the cic website

As long as the site says Apr. 30th, you're still somewhat in a safe zone. It absolutely sucks balls that they don't work in order and people in June are getting approvals but I think it has to do with the barcode system being in place.
I'm sorry you don't have your approval yet CJG.... really sending positive energy your way and hoping you hear something this week.
