Praying to hear by the end of the day or by post early tomorrow!

10 June applicants have approval, makes me mad :(

And even mid june applicants are getting approval, what is going on CIC?

The situation is very frustrating indeed - it was the same for April and May applicants, and CIC doesn't make much sense for now, as they don't seem to follow a logical way of opening applications ( by date, should not be that difficult...). Probably as it happened with April, the batches have been divided between Mississauga and Ottawa to clear the backlog and go back to a "reasonable" waiting time for stage 1 ( around 40 to 60 days as it used to be before January), but for now it's just all over...

Good luck for all of you waiting, hope everyone hears from CIC very soon!
Cheers,
Sweden

I'm just so worried it has gotten lost at some point on the journey :( especially if they have been divided between offices!

waiting for good news from u guys.... :)

you will be fine - try not to worry about it. I know it's difficult! :-) Most people get it within 90 to 95 days ( for the ones who applied until middle of May) according to the various spreadsheets. So just assume that yours will come around the 17th-20th of August, and put your mind at rest until then... if it comes earlier, it will be a good surprise, if it comes around that time, then you will feel it is "normal" ( as much as this process can be).

There is really nothing for you to do until you hear from them, so try not to stress too much about it. Your VO is London, which is quite fast (somebody today got his PR issued with a stage 2 of 2 months...) - so you might have to wait less for stage 2 than stage 1!

Good luck with waiting - I'lll wait for you in London VO ( where my file has arrived 3 weeks ago but I have not heard anything...) :-) we can go for tea while we stand in line for stage 2...

Cheers,
Sweden

Thanks Sweden!

I didn't expect the stress to get to me this much. My partner leaves for Canada on Thursday. I guess I just wanted the peace of mind that at least stage 1 was successful before he leaves!

No one understands this process unless they've been through/are going through!

Good luck with your stage 2 , hope we both get a lovely 2 month timeline :)

Called today just to see, I couldn't get info since I'm not the sponsor and he's at work lol but they tried with my info... didn't find me. Told me I probably won't hear anything for 2 weeks, so if you're in early May, you'll hear things this week.. mid-May in a couple weeks at most. However, since they are bouncing around it could be anytime in that period.

Any PPR requested today? my file was transfered to Delhi on July 19th(so they tell me as i still haven't recieved any emails or mail regarding sponsership approval) didn't hear anything back yet.

This is Brutal for all the people who have to still wait... OMG come on CIC this has to be the week!! today is our 90 day mark ... :( im getting depressed even more.. i know it will come soon... but not knowing exactly when is really hard.. i mean if their time line was correct then i wouldnt mind... but JUNE getting approvals thats just not fair... i thought canada was for treating everyone equally.... ??? doesnt seem like it.... just feel like they are discriminating agains April and early May applicants...

*fingers still crossed for some good news this week *

It's really not fair... I hope they all come really soon!

nothing...

risking tiring everybody here i have to say again that the frustrating thing is not the wait but the "skipping" of the line and the unfairness...

anyway, i'll stop checking and maybe leave the forum for a few days. it makes no sense. people in june thread complain because they don't get approval in 50 days...

just giving up on cic immigration. let them do what they want when they want.

i'll concentrate on filing on a work permit to start working in the mean time and leave them to decide on family visa when they want to

It is frustrating seeing June SS being so colourful... I wouldn't be surprised to see AOR's and approvals for July applicants sometime soon... you might want to give CIC a buzz - who knows.

Just give it a day or two, get yourself occupied with something else (easier said than done, I know), and everything will be fine. Your approval is just around the corner.

Hello Good day every one! i think i belong here because I send the application last MAY 23, 2012.

i have few questions to ask, can someone help me with this questions, thanks in advance!

1st, what is AOR? is this the AOR? i received this via email on Thursday, July 5, 2012 8:01 AM
Dear XXXXXXXX XXXXXXX,

This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2012/05/28.

2nd, I can check our status via ECAS using our UCI number, what does this mean?
Under SPONSORSHIP
We received your application to sponsor XXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXX on May 28, 2012.

Under PERMANENT RESIDENCE
We received XXXXXX XXXXXXX application for permanent residence on May 28, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

3rd, what are we waiting for after this? because next week we will reach the 86 DAYS (Assessment of sponsor) and we still haven't received any update, mail, email or changes on ECAS. what does it mean? :(

Thanks!

my ECAS file number shows my Lawyer address...

do I have to change it to my India address? or leave it just like that?
