Hello Good day every one! i think i belong here because I send the application last MAY 23, 2012.

i have few questions to ask, can someone help me with this questions, thanks in advance!

1st, what is AOR? is this the AOR? i received this via email on Thursday, July 5, 2012 8:01 AM
Dear XXXXXXXX XXXXXXX,

This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2012/05/28.

2nd, I can check our status via ECAS using our UCI number, what does this mean?
Under SPONSORSHIP
We received your application to sponsor XXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXX on May 28, 2012.

Under PERMANENT RESIDENCE
We received XXXXXX XXXXXXX application for permanent residence on May 28, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

3rd, what are we waiting for after this? because next week we will reach the 86 DAYS (Assessment of sponsor) and we still haven't received any update, mail, email or changes on ECAS. what does it mean? :(

Thanks!

Yup it definitely is an AOR. You will get a sponsorship after this. You need not worry. Many people from May start are still waiting for even this.

It's 1:53 am here at Alberta, Canada and i am unable to sleep just because of this stress, when will this be going to get over?

Just take it easy, your response will arrive in a few days. Once you get your approval, New Delhi VO will get it all done real quick. Large majority of people wait for months before they hear anything from their VO, and you guys are super lucky that your office is so efficient.

So get your mind off this whole thing, watch TV, listen to some music, work out, bike... you'll be just fine.

Please don't make yourself sick over this...it is out of your control...I was lucky in march getting approved in 86days...others waited for over 100...don't start questionning yourself on if they received it or not...you need to calm down and try to go with the flow...stop coming on the forum, looking at others get approved makes it worse, get a 1000 piece puzzle and do that...find something but stop driving yourself crazy trying to figure out CIC we all wish we could but they yo-yo all the time!Hang in there!

It's been 2 weeks since they wrote my approval letter & I still can't log into ECAS... :(

that's a bit strange then.... it takes usually between 3 to 5 working days, and your approval was before that. Are you sure that you are using the right combination of file number/name etc? It took me a while to figure it out, so just in case:
*UCI + last name ( and last name only, no hyphen, no first name etc - only the family name) + dob etc
or
*File number + last name ( only that) of the applicant etc.

Good luck - i hope it can start working soon ( although - mine works but it doesn't say anything! :-) passed the first days of excitement to be able to log into the system, and see decision made under the sponsorship part - it wears off quickly!! now it says applications received, and medical received, and that's it! :-) )

Good luck,
Sweden

PS: sorry if I post something obvious about how to log in - but it maybe is because your name was mispelled etc on the approval?

Yes, typed in the correct info for sure. Tried several combinations. Maybe have to give them a call when I can be bothered.

ECAS update?

Does anyone know the average time ECAS should be updated to reflect an application has arrived at Singapore VO?

I just checked my file online and it still shows only "decision made (on July 10)" and "application recived (May 30)"

I assume its been 28 days now the application should have arrived in Singapore but it is not showing any updates on the website.

you may or may not get an AOR from your VO....my file has been 7 weeks in Havana and not a word!!!

I went to the CIC website (eCAS) to check my application status and I received the following message when I typed in my CID:

If you want to see the details of an application, click on the underlined status.
(check box) Please remove the ability for me or anyone else to view the status of my application and address information on this Web site.
...

They don't give me the option to keep my application on the website, just check box, 'Submit' button and 'Logout' buttons. I am unable to proceed past this screen as I never logged in to eCAS before.

Please note that I am unable to login with my Application # (F#########).

On top of it, I had to enter 'Serbia and Montenegro' even though I put 'Serbia, Republic Of' on my application. Technically, my POB should be 'Yugoslavia'.

What's next?

Ok thanks, I had heard some others who never got an update on ECAS but if that is the case how do you know your application is in Cuba?

Are you basing it off the decision made date?

If so then (given a transit time of 1 week) My application has been in Singapore for almost 3 weeks now (waiting on a stack)

I don't know my application is in Cuba....I have to have faith that it has reached it's destination.....sorta like the faith I had to have waiting for almost 4 months for my approval!!!!!!

Our VO is New Delhi, My husband forgot to write that his UK visitor visa was refused in 2007, (Background Declaration Schedule A) Point 6.

But he wrote that his canada tourist visa was refused before marriage as he wants to give me surprise before marriage and also ticked in the point 6(d) YES. Should he resend the form also mentioning about his UK tourist Visa Refusal, because also he has stamp in the passport about UK.

He travelled many countries for business also travelled UK too, but just missed to write about this Uk refusal he had once.

Is this misrepresentation ? or can he resend new form also mentioning about UK and send to Canada or Delhi will they accept it !

still application is in canada(missi) for sponsor approval , file no. is not generated.

Anyone who can pls advise this is serious.

well it took them 92 days but they approved me today.

ottawa sent the mail

Submitted my application on May 5th, received in Ontario on May 10th and received an e-mail on August 8th stating that my application has been received and they have provided me with my UCI number and application number. Any idea on how long after this e-mail is sent that I'll be notified of approval? I tried to log-in to check my status but it says:

We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons:
•Please be sure the information you entered is correct and then try again.
•This service is only available to clients with applications in process. We may have received your application but not yet begun processing it. The following link may help you determine if your application is being processed:

Thoughts? Guessing more patience is the key on this one...
