Does sponsor approval come in e-mail or regular mail?

I hate the waiting game. :( My hubby is here and we struggle financially trying to support both of us on my meager income sucks.

my hubby has been supporting me and has just had to give up his job 2 weeks ago. This all sucks big time.

I hate not being able to work. I've been in Canada for a year now without a job. I miss not being able to support myself

I feel the same way like you! I came to Canada on a Working Holiday Visa and I had a good job until April 2012 when I had to leave my job because my WHV expired and my company was not very helpful in getting a LMO and also the job I was in would have not helped to get a positive LMO.

I hate that my hubby is working his a** off to support the both of us and we still don't have enough money. It's getting more and more stressful. The worst part is, that after sponsor approval, I have no idea how long my VO will need.

I am thankful though that I am staying with my hubby at this time. Wouldn't know how to get through this being far away from him.

I hate being so helpless, the only thing we all can do is wait wait wait... :(

I hope you get some good news tmrw!!!

At least you're working. As of two weeks ago... neither of us is working. Our situation is the worst. I'm ill with the flu. It is 30 degrees outside but all the stress has made me sick. :(
Oh no! That's gotta be tough, especially the things your mind does when not working.

Yes, we are struggling financially too. But, I am glad we are together.... I just hope we don't have to wait much longer. We are just so ready to start our new life together!

Well, it's 7.30pm EST and another quiet day has passed by.

hey yall..quick question...wen you could view ur status on Ecas, does it actually mean a visa officer is working on ur file??

no.....when you log into ecas under application # and it shows "in process" that means there is activity on your file....but from what I understand ecas is not reliable all for updates when the file has been transferred to VO

If you don't have sponsorship approval and you can see the sponsorship app on ecas then they are working on your file. For the VO and step 2, it all depends and isn't very reliable. They could be working even if it does not say in process. Mine went to in process AFTER I got the PPR!

omg m so stressed.....wts going on?....no approval for may anymore.....and june ppl getting approvals :(

i really don get how do they wrk...y they not finishing 1 month n move to other 1...

It's killing me to read all these stories... why oh why don't they create a simple steady system? Our lives and our well-being are in their hands for Pete's sake.

Not a single application went through today... what's going on?

Its just start of office time here. Very disappointed to see no approvals for April or May. Have to drag myself to another day of work in this mind set. :( . Quite eager to know what they will update on the website this time.

HI
I just discovered this web site !! so helpful!!
i sent my application may 29th, received AOR july 19th
VO accra. my husband is in togo

I need an advise on the below,

My lawyer called my wife yesterday and asked whether she has paid the Permanent Resident Fee i.e is 490$ because while sending the AOR mail to him, the CIC has asked us to pay that fees.

My wife had paid the fees while submitting the application to CPC-M totally it came to 1090$ ( not sure the exact amount)... now the lawyer is telling that is okay dont need to send any copy of it to CIC..

But I feel since the CIC has asked to pay the PR fees , ideally we should send a copy of the receipt to confirm that we have already paid the fees with a covering letter..Am I right?

Am just wondering why the lawyer is telling like that...

Its been 20 days since we received our AOR and we didnt hear anything from CPC-ND...
