Good Morning Everyone!

When I sent the enquiry I had that reply in my email:

Please note that it is impossible for us to reply individually to each
email. If you need information on temporary resident visas
(visitors/students/temporary workers) or on documents required for
returning residents, please consult our website. If
you need information on how to immigrate to Canada, please consult the CIC
site.

This is an automatic reply.

What does it mean?
Are they going to reed and probably answer my enquiry?
Or my mail went to bin without someone read it?
Did you just send an email? Or was it a CSE 'Case Specific Enquiry'? Our VO insists on CSE's only.

I've seen case taking PPR in 10 days and cases taking PPR after 10-12 months.

There's nothing you can take for granted. Every case is unique.
I've sent additional information (personal history) on 11 Oct and I am still waiting.

What kind of additional document did they ask you to send?

amfiprion: did they ask you personal history ? I mean Timeline of your relation that you sent on 11 Oct. ? Please advise. Thanks.

Just an update for anyone who may be interested in visiting the Canadian Embassy in Manila.

I have just returned from the Philippines having spent 3 weeks with my wife. We took the trip into Manila last monday to make a general inquiry on current processing times. The guards on the main floor would not even let me up. Unlike last year there has been a change in policy. Any and all immigration matters must be done via internet, post or phone. I explained to the guards that those methods are either impossible to get a response from or you don't get the answer you are looking for. He gave us a form to fill out to include our questions that would be replied to by an officer upstairs. After more than a week there has been no reply.
In short it was a waste of time.

From Rome VO I received two documents.
At the first I had to write with details where I was living (full address) even for a short period of time since I was 18.
At the second I had to say what did I do since I was 18. Even if I was traveling for some days.
(in our application we were asked the same info but for the last 10 years or since 18y whatever comes first and with fewer details)

That was a bit weird. I wrote all my trips abroad but it was IMPOSSIBLE to write all my vacation or weekend trips I did last 17 years of my life!!!

I had to find address of friends I visited or hotels I stayed. I don't know why they asked me that.
I have clear criminal record. All I wrote them is true as there is no need to hide something. I am married 11 years and I live with my wife.

Maybe the fact that last 17 years I've moved 6-7 times was something they wanted to check it further.
On the other hand I believe that is not a crime to live in different places in your life!!!

Well, I have no reply yet.
I sent an enquire to confirm they received the docs as there was a 60 days limit to send them back to Rome.
I have no reply on my enquire either.

just waiting and waiting!

I received an email message from Manila VO just now. Is it an AOR at VO or what? I don't see any documents requested in this letter, even though it says "Once you have complied with this request" and "the documentation requested in this letter is required". I suppose this is standard message. Anyone has any idea how they request documents? Do they make them with bullet points? Which part of the body message do they request documents, e.g. beginning, middle or end?

Dear xxxx:

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada which was received at the Embassy of Canada in Manila on August 6, 2012

A file has been created with the application number noted above. Please ensure that you quote this application number in any future correspondence with our office.

Once you have complied with this request, if any additional information or documentation is required to assess your application, we will contact you or your designated representative.

Please note that the documentation requested in this letter is required even if you receive a subsequent letter from our office asking for additional documentation.

Due to limited resources dedicated to processing the thousands of applications currently in process, we are unable to respond to requests for status updates on your file if they fall within the average processing times.

......

Manila applicants, I have a gut feeling that we will be receiving messages from Manila VO this week! Fingers crossed!

Wow, congrats.. I think you even broke my record for the longest time for Sponsorship approval. Good to be on to the next step which is really the big wait..
