Fingers crossed that you'll get a nice birthday gift!
Sweden

Happy birthday!!!! Hopefully you get your present on Tuesday! Hehe. I am already in Canada. Have been for over a year now and while it is great that I can be with my hubby, it's still so frustrating to not be able to work or contribute. I feel like time is being wasted and the big gap on me resume is not good :(

Just want to get moving with life. As we all do. Sending good vibes to all VO's......

Yeah, a tough year that has tested my patience and tested the strength of our relationship. It's been hard and we are so ready to just be "normal". When I get COPR, I am going to New York for a big party and then coming back to "land". Then life goes on..... It's been 157 days since our application was sent.... Should be soon now. Fingers crossed.

My husband has been here since May - he was here from May-Nov last year. It def. is tough - my career doesn't exactly pay great so supporting both of us on my income has been a bit of a test. He wishes so bad he could work... just hoping to have PR by next summer....

In my opinion - which I know doesn't count, they should allow some kind of temporary work visa for spouses waiting for PR. Even if they only allow 20 hrs a week or something. It's so hard for one person to be the soul provider. And, it is enough to make anyone crazy! I've been losing my mind!!!!

Anyway, we're all very close now..... can't wait!

Bonitanita,

that's exactly what I'm saying!! One one hand, they want us to be financially supported (at least for the visitor visa and extensions) but they make it so difficult by not allowing us to work. :( I'm sick and tired of sitting at home all the time while my husband is working his *** off to support the both of us.

I hope we all hear some good news soon!!

Happy Birthday Sweden and a Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

I just watched a movie called "Like Crazy". It's about a couple who are struggling to be together due to visa issues. It was a good film and it's on netflix if any of you are interested in watching it. A lot to relate to.

Is this going to be "THE WEEK"?

Hope yes and wish it for all!

;D

Well, today postman woke me up... I had a letter from Rome's VO...

Till I open the envelope my heart stopped several times!!!

They sent me a letter (date 27/9/2012) and two copies of a form asking me to fill the forms.

What they asking me as additional info is my "chronological personal history".

I don't know why they do that. I had fill all the details in IMM 5669 form where they ask about education, work and places I lived.

Anyway, maybe cause I've been in some places since my 18th birthday, they ask for more details...

Does anyone knows about the "chronological personal history" form?

thanks.

They say I must send it back in 60 days.

I updated my new Canadian Mailing Address thru eCAS on 10th September 2012.But to my surprise I still see my old address. They said 15 days i.e 15 working days and now its more than 15 working days and any idea when will i see my new address....Thoughts are welcome.....

The Client Application Status site is updated weekly, usually on Tuesdays.

So, you got to wait till Tuesday - Friday to check if they change it....

that explains the delay mate.

did you maybe travel outside of europe much ?

nope...

once to Germany
once to France
once to Italy
three times to London
once Check Republic and
once to Sweeden

ALL trips in Europe.

But there was no way they know about these trips as there was no form asking me about trips abroad!!!

anyway, the documents are two...
I didn't see them in the morning as the postman actually woke me up and my mind was still sleeping!!!
And then I had to leave and go to my work...

I'll check them when I go home and I will let you know....

The first ask me what I was doing since I was 18 (the application asked last 10 years or since 18, what comes first)
and the second form asks where i was since i was 18 (including a few days trip!!!) So, got to remember all my life since my 18th birthday!!!!

ha ha ha!!!!

well, hope that's going to be the last delay!

well, hope that's going to be the last delay!

I remember sending a page where I listed every place I travelled to.

I made a table with the following headers:

PLACE / Date From / Date Until / Reason for travel

It was big pain because I have been to over 30 countries and lived in 4. If they write me back and ask me for more info, I may just mentally lose it.
