congrats!!!! :D

Please help me understanding the following part of the approval email to me:

"Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF): If the Right of Permanent Residence Fee is applicable to your application and you have chosen to defer payment of that fee, you will be contacted to make the payment at a later date. A Permanent Resident Visa cannot be issued to your relative(s) until this payment is submitted."

Is it just a typical email to everybody? Because I already paid this fee. I paid total of $1040. Do I ignore this part of the mail?
Please advise, if anyone has answer for me. Thanks in advance.

If you've already paid it, then don't worry. It's basically this: "if you didn't pay it when you applied, we will inform you to make the payment later on.. you won't get your visa until this fee is paid though."

You're completely fine. YOu didn't 'defer' payment (not pay at filing), so it won't apply to you.

81 days, :( still no sponsor approval, hopefully we receive some good news this week :(

That's ok, a lot of people get their approval after 90 days. I got mine on the 91st day, some people go until the 97th or even more than 100. So 81 days is not yet bad. You'll get it by the end of this week or next week probably. :)

Just wanna share my friends timeline...

March 10, 2012- application received in Mississauga
June 10, 2012- approved
July 6, 2012- passport request
July 9, 2012, passport submitted
August 20, 2012- passport with Visa received

so approx, 5 months and 10 days (160 days)

I submitted mine June 15th, looking forward to hear from VO soon!!

Which VO is your friend at? Manila?? This is good news, hopefully everyone else's will be fast too.. New Delhi VO really still has the fastest one to issue visas though, but i would still be happy anyway as long as it won't take a year :P

I just phoned CIC 12 times and got through. They said they finally started to review me as Sponsor, now they're doing background checks, and it was the phone call last Friday that pushed them to start - guess I was forgotten. They said my app is in Mississauga.

sometimes though the agents from the call centre are inconsistent with the info they have. At least that's what I've noticed. Like when I called them last week, they told me they have not received opened my application yet, then a few hours after that, i received an email re: AOR. So I dont know how updated are they really. I bet yours is already approved, depends on how updated the agents are.

Sigh, I'm highly stressed. :(

I just realised I have a client number printed on my study permit I was issued in 2010.... Will this be the same client id as I will be issued this time?

Yes. I also have a client ID used for visitor extension and study permit and that same ID works to see my status as an applicant.

A few weeks ago I called them, they looked at their computer and said my app was opened 4.5 hours earlier. It seemed like it got into the computer system pretty fast.
