Seems to me there is no order to it at all and no point calling them as all you get is ... It's not 17 months call us back when the 17 months is reached . So frustrated with the whole process !! I check ecas all the time it's so time consuming for your brain only to get no movement it's like an obsession to check every day :'(

That's the reason why i stopped checking my ECAS for awhile. All we get is hopeless results. And I stopped calling the CIC ctr as well because of some rude call ctr agents. Nothing to do but wait and hope we get good news 1 day

Yeah Tina I know , and you must be so frustrated if I was in your shoes I think I would have pulled my hair out by now so I should be grateful that we haven't had the hassle that you have !! I hope it ends for you very soon

On the bright side...medical re-assessments are only asked for once everything else has been cleared.

In other words, you're basically guaranteed PR as long as your medical reassessment is fine.

"Note:

The decision to grant a reassessment is at the discretion of a medical officer or a Health Branch delegated staff.

The process applies only to cases where a final decision is pending due to either:

the expiration of a medical certificate; or,
when the validity of the medical certificate is about to expire and the applicant is unable to land before it expires.
The process does not apply to applicants who are inadmissible on health grounds since inadmissible ‘M' profiles do not expire."

Im just curious, how did you know that a person is guaranteed to have a PR after med re-assessment?

Sorry, "guaranteed" is a strong word - perhaps I misspoke. I just meant to say that CIC wouldn't bother to reassess medicals if other items were still pending. It would be a waste of time and money to reassess medicals if the applicant could still be rejected for other reasons.

I'm fairly certain that medicals are only reassesed when all other pending items have been cleared.

I am a 7 feb, 2014 applicant still waiting for PPR....in process since aug 2014.

Lets hope we get it soon...also the processing time is now 16 months.

So, I got my medical reassessment done yesterday, it was asked by delhimedical/medical@international.gc.ca

The doctor in my city, did my reassessment. I had to get the chest x-ray.

Took half day off from work.

Let's see how many days it takes to get it all updated...
