My application status also got updated and test status changed back to "Completed" from "In progress" as of 16th December, seems like they fixed the problem.

Nope, I didn't get any passport request, do they ask for passport request, what do they need our passport for. I doubt if they request passport.

I think they request a copy of all passport pages to verify number of days for physical presence. Several applicants have shared that they were asked to send scan copies. May be u didnt travel outside of Canada during this time?

I did travel to home country and few other countries. Directly from Canada I just traveled to home country. Maybe that's why. They didn't ask for all pages of passport so far.

Got an email from IRCC today. They are asking me to email them scanned copies of my passport and travel documents I held during eligibility period.

why would they ask for it if I already submitted it with the application?
Anyone else got the same request?

My timeline is -
AOR - March 16 (single, online)
FP and test request - Nov 14
FP done - Nov 15
Test done - Dec 3
BG check and test showing completed in tracker - Dec 9.

Thank you for contacting our office, please attach the file in pdf form or jpeg to the email. Please note we highly recommend the attachment be 5MB or less.


I don’t know if agent didn’t look into it properly or something. I sent the file again and explained that it was already sent as per requirements in the last email.

May be the photos were not clear or something wrong with the attachment. You can get it done at the UPS store. Bring a usb drive with you and they will scan the pages for you and put it on it and give it to you.

Only my bg and test are complete and because i took the test from outside Canada, i was asked to submit full scans of my passport and government issued id on November 17, 2022 which I submitted on November 23, 2022.

Now i am back in Canada and I already informed ircc about my return with boarding pass and travel itinerary serving as proof of my return.

What should i expect in this interview? Anyone else have gone through this situation? Kindly share your experience as i have no idea why is this required at this stage. Any feedback in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Relax, it is not that hard. They will chat with you and ask some questions which are very basic. Make sure you have a copy of all your documents you submitted. They will verify your Id's.
