That is not true... There are several accounts on this forum where people who took the test from the link without the e-mail and their test was marked complete. On the contrary, I haven't read anything on this forum where people who did not get the test e-mail being asked to take the test again

You may have been right. I emailed IRCC on the online citizenship email on the link that you have on your signature and they replied saying that the email may have gone to spam or something, but in case it wasn't sent then they put the link of the test page (the one in your signature) saying that if I didn't receive the email then I can proceed with that link once my test window starts.
