We have an OWP that we were able to linked in GCKey. The status is currently Processing or In Progress. We've not received any correspondence for the OWP or AOR. How long did it take for those who experienced the same situation before the OWP was approved?

I sent my PR application in March and it was received on April 2. I included the biometrics fee receipt and the OWP along with my application.

The only contact with IRCC I have had was the Biometrics fee letter in September. I am unable to link my application to my IRCC account and I have yet to receive my AOR.

I have valid biometrics so I don’t think I need to submit new biometrics because of new covid-19 regulations.

anybody in a similar situation? When did you guys receive your AOR/OWP confirmation. I’m super stressed honestly
From what we can tell they are currently working on applications received the third week of March. OWP are being issued for the first week of March. The date received is the date you'll want to use for reference.

I personally payed $1250 (OWP+biometrics+Application fee). I think the fee has increased to 1300 since (for those things.

perhaps you forgot to pay for the right to hold the open work permit?
Hey there! I'm new to this forum, but we also applied in March (sent March 11th, received March 17th). We received our AOR yesterday, but we had our OWP rejected because of insufficient fees paid?

I am just wondering if that has happened to anyone else? We paid everything in full ($1040.00 CAD) when we submitted, but have now resubmitted the OWP. I think the fees increased to $1050.00 CAD at some point, so we paid the additional $10.00 for the increase in charge. But I am not sure if that was the reason as to why they rejected it?

It is incredibly frustrating trying to figure out what went wrong when there are no clear instructions given.

Anyway, thanks so much in advance for any replies!
I paid $ 1305(OWP+biometrics+Application fee). I think you did not pay OWP fee in the first place. For OWP you have to pay an extra $ 255.

1040 is just the PR application fee with RPRF: PA (475) + sponsor (75) + RPRF (490)

If you had paid biometrics(85) and OWP (255) then the grand total would have been $1380 and not 1040.

now it should be $1390 with an increase of $10 for RPRF

Hi!

Just a question, if I renewed my passport this month, how should I inform them that I renewed my passport that will expire on March next year? The new passport is expected to be received on December. What should I tell them?

Thank you!!

I feel so stupid, making that mistake. We went through all this, just not to have realised and paid the incorrect fee.

Thank you so much for all the advice, hopefully we can rectify the situation quickly.

Our application came back today...after seven months. Incomplete signature. We didn't handsign next to an electronic signature on a form. Back to the processing line we go. Before that, we need to apply for a visitor record and hope we can get it. +200 days before processing the actual file.

So sorry to hear. What was your app received date?

That’s infuriating. It’s distinctly upsetting that they can be so remiss in their duties and not have a mechanism to allow for *some* leeway when people have been waiting 7 months to even hear a response?! Like, it would be *easy* for them to ask you to submit an updated form with a full signature.
It’s systemic xenophobia.

So we received bio fee reminder last week (app received Oct 1). On the letter is an application number F000######. What is this application number for? We haven't received the temporary file number letter yet (I've noticed usually arrives week 4-5 after app received and we're in week 3 only). in the bio fee letter, there is no explanation for what this application number is for. I thought maybe it was temporary file number but I've seen people say those start with 'XF'.
This number is only for the control of the biometric fee reminder letter. I received it too and a month later we received the AOR with a different file number.
Is this true for those who have gotten the biometric fee letter and their AOR? I ask because we made a mistake on the IMM5406 in which we used the webform to submit the correction using the biometric fee letter application number. If they do end up being different numbers I'm wondering if submitting the webform is futile then? I did call and ask the agents and they were able to pull up the application using that file number from the biometric fee letter and that's what the agent advised doing as well though...

I am super angry and frustrated right now.
I have been waiting for 7 months and today my whole package was returned because of the missing handwritten signature next to the typed name in Form5669. And I have to resubmit it again and queue for processing again!!!!

It said:
Your submission and documents are being returned to you and will not be processed or put in the queue for processing.
When you resubmit your application, if it meets the requirements for processing, it will then enter the processing queue based on the date of its resubmission.

If I resubmit it again,
1. Do I have to update all the dates on my application forms?
2. Do I have to update all supporting documents such as the letter from employer and notice of assessment?
3. As the sponsorship fee and biometric fee increased, do I have to pay the new fee? Do I have to pay the difference?

I have already submitted a webform asking these questions but I am not sure will they answer me quickly so I hope others can help.
Thank you!

So sorry to hear. It is truly unfair and frustrating! I'm also stressed out these days. For your concerns, I think you might need to redo the police certificate and passport photos, as they are only valid for six months. For other documents, the more up to date the better.

Btw, when was your app package received by them in March?

Thank you for your reply! I agree with you.
They received it on 18th March.
I'm also considering should I change to outland or not.
Not sure which method will be the fastest way.

Out of curiosity, were you able to link the OWP in your account at all ? Just trying to understand if that has any meaning or not on the application progress.

So you did type the name in that box which says Signature? But isn't the typed name sufficient as above the box it says "I agree that by typing my name, I am electronically signing my application"
