I have a questions for the members of this forum.

I've learned form a friend who applied for his Canadian Citizenship shortly before I did that we have to provide/bring along the original passports listed in the eligibility period of the application form.

I have two passports listed on my application:
Current Valid Passport validity period 2016-2026
Previous Expired Passport validity period 2006-2016

I do not have the original copy of my expired passport . The embassy kept it when I picked up my new passport. All I have is a photocopy of my previous passport.

I was wondering if they would demand to see the original copy of my previous expired passport, or a simple photocopy would be good enough.

Is there anybody else in the same situation as me ?

I am wondering ur “FP” request letter has any date on it other than ur D.O.B ?

Just the date letter was issued. and Date of Birth under your name.

Hello dear, I can't go into details about the make up but I will tell you that anyone can actually pass that test just by reading the book. I was freaking out about it but once I saw the content it was like ABC. So my advice would be to read the book and you can just use those online practices just to test yourself. I got 19/20

i just checked my ecas status yesterday August 2/19, and its been changed from “in process” to “decision made” but i havent received a letter for the oath taking ceremony. will keep you all up to date!

Hi, looking for some advice,
I sent my Application back in March,
Two months later it got returned to me, as I stupidly forgot to sign one page.
Anyway I signed and completed the application and then returned it complete. I am still waiting for an AOR even though the application got delivered back to them on May 30th.
When I originally sent the proof of payment back in March the Visa card which I used to pay for the application was valid, however now it has been almost 6 months and the Visa card has expired and by looking at my online banking the payment has still not been take .
So my questions are:
1. Do I need to contact the CIC and update my payment information?
2. Will my application get refused again ?
3. If so what the best way to contact the right person so resolve this issue, does anyone have a contact number I can speak to an officer?

Probably they do not need your Finger print.

In some cases they have asked for FP even after Test.

Nothing to worry about .
