It sounds like you might have ordered your full application instead of the "Notes in Electronic File"? I have ordered both of those, and agree with you that the full application is basically useless since it is just SOME of your application scanned in with received stamps on it! I ordered the full application to see what my paid immigration lawyer had submitted... other than one cover letter, I didn't really get to see anything different from what I had already sent her, and none of the relationship evidence was scanned in either (which is what I had wanted to see what she had actually sent in out of everything I had sent her!).

If you want to see the notes that the immigration officer wrote about your file, than it would be good to reapply immediately and apply for the "Notes in Electronic File" this time around! Much, much more helpful for knowing how your file is progressing!

they know you are here... my husband is here on a visitor visa as well, we just recently applied for his extension and received his visitor record... not sure which vo you are with but my notes were useless too.. nothing is being done it seems... last time something was done was july 10... so almst 4 months now... and nothing. good luck

when l applied, they contacted me back saying that l should provide this proof or get my sponsor (canadian citizen) to order it for me, sending them his passaport scanned
I was just wandering if someone have sent other kind of document when they had no stamp stating entrance in the country in their passport because that's my case.
I want to order it again since it looks like l ordered the wrong thing

Here! I want to know if I have already started my background check, I have paid representative but he never check the link detail for me. How I can know if I background check or not ?

We also applied through a paid representative so no access to myCIC. Are you or your spouse in Canada? You can get the same MyCic updates by calling IRCC at 1-888-242-2100 from within Canada using a touch-tone telephone. It is available 24-7 and it gives you an automated recorded message about the status (including whether background check has started or not). If, however, both of you are out of country, you could have a trusted relative call and record the voice message for you. We are both out-of-country so we got my mother to record the voice message and send to us periodically. That way, we aren't really missing out on any updates without having access to MyCic.

I think the easiest thing to do would be to get your sponsor (Canadian citizen) to order them for you... Or, maybe you could order them, but in your sponsor's name and include proof of your spouse's Canadian passport and then include the signed consent form that you give permission for your spouse to order on your behalf? But best to just ask your sponsor to order on your behalf...

Has anyone else got DM a long time ago, but no PPR?

My wife (applicant) got DM in August. Several days later, I (sponsor) got an email saying the application moved from Ottawa back to Mississauga, with no additional details. We've had no communication since then. MyCIC and the phone system still say that our application is under review.

I've tried to call dozens of times, at all times and days of the week, in the past month but have never even managed to get on the waiting list. I haven't been able to talk to an operator since before they changed their phone system.

I'm worried that there is a glitch and our application is sitting idle. This already happened to us in the spring, when we lost a month and a half due to MyCIC not showing current info and not sending us an email, and nothing happening until we called in a bunch of times and finally talked to a competent operator. I know that the phone operators have access to more details than MyCIC provides.

Anyways, my main question is just the one in the first line of this post!

I received my COPR in the mail yesterday.

Not a SINGLE word since June....should I be worried? One would think you could at very least be able to contact someone via the phone number or at least be able to get updated information on the website. I've read several people having issues with this. Will the influx of refugees and asylum seekers have a bearing on the time frame for our applications? I need to make a trip to the U.S during the Christmas season to see my mother who is very sick.....no idea when this PR will be around if ever.....any advise for when I travel? I have no choice and I can't wait for the PR. Please advise. Cheers.
