Dear seniors,

My father is a canadian citizen since 1974. I born in 1986 outside canada and my mother was not Canadizan citizen that time. She got citizenship status in 1990. I just want to know under which category I fall. I am going to sponsor my spouse and in form their is a quesiton where they asked which type of citizen you are?

1:- Citizenship by birth
2:- Citizenship by Descent
3:- Naturalized Canadian citizen

My file receve date 12 may 20 june is my medical date and 26 june is my pcc date and now ecas show online
1 .we recived ur file 12 may
2. Medical result have been recicved

check email u must have SA request and Asking for your PCC then should have transferred to your local Visa Office and now days timeline 5 to 6 months to get DM ?

I'm curious, have you been transferred to a VO or background check started? Our file was received Mar 21 so close to yours. We haven't had anything since SA on Apr 12 and we are US Outland

Hello! I think we were transferred to Ottawa. Yes, my background check has been started. I haven't heard anything since June 15, 2017. We are also US Outland. I did however, go to Prescott POE to inquire about an OWP but were told that is for inbound so that didn't apply, but...the CBSA that was looking at our info on the computer, told me that we were scheduled to be looked at and a DM sometime this week....I'm hoping he is right and we will see or hear something very soon...I check everyday! You and I virtually had the same timeline. I am American. My spouse is a Canadian citizen, but we are both living together in Canada. My background check went went in progress back in May, but I still have not received any status updates since then. Did you actually apply "outland"? And your background check actually went in progress 3 days ago?

Yeah we applied outland and we are both living in US. My Background check went in progress last Tuesday in GCKey but I am sure they had been working on it for a while. I have not gotten any emails though regarding these status changes.
