Received on 21 Mar
Started processing on 01 May
Received line still there

No update on my File yet. I hate to see my received line now. Am I right that this received line must be vanished before the file is transferred to local CIC ? If i assume, the line will be gone by 15 July ... + 3.5 weeks for transit time + atleast 01 month for processing in local office until call for interview ....... so i expect an interview call around 15 Sep 14 .... my God ..

I wish the process was as straightforward as you expect! This is all a waiting game my friend.

Does CIC update application status on E Cas weakly, each Tuesday mostly ?

I think that is a myth.......I think they would update it automatically as and when needed.

Hey our timelines are almost the same

App received: 24 March
In Process: 02 May
Received line is still there.

Lets wait it out!

Hello Folks,

My Received line disappeared today.

What is more interesting is, it disappeared today, Sunday morning.
I checked Saturday afternoon and Received line was there.
Looks like CIC is working on Sundays also.

My Timeline:

Application Received: March 5th, 2014

Started Processing: April 15th, 2014

Received Line Disappeared: July 13th (Sunday Morning)

Folks any idea, what can I expect received line disappearing means ?

:-X

Hi it means some action has been done
Either background checks started or completed (and file transfered or on its way to be transfered to local office)
Do not think cic is working on weekends
:)

When you log in, you see two boxes: first one says your application has been received; the second says your application is In-Process. If you only see one box, that means the first one has been already disappeared. Now, if you click on the In-Process box, again you see the above mentioned sentences.

Hi EdmontonM,

I never saw the first box that says your application has been received. The first time I logged in to check online, it only said In-Process.

Is this a problem?

Thank you!

I don't think it is a problem, I don't know what it means either. Maybe you should search around this forum to find relevant threads or posts.

EdmontonM,

Have you called CIC recently to know if your file has been transferred to Edmonton?

I just called them today. My file is in Edmonton and the agent said the transfer was completed sometime at the end of June or early July, he didn't give me an exact date. CIC has not received my FP yet. I'm going to call back in couple of days to verify this information.

My Received line disappeared today. Timeline: Received March 5th, In progress April 11, Received Line disappeared July 14.

Hello Fairooz:

Looks like CIC has started working on March 2014 applications now.

My Reveived Line disappeared yesterday.

I called CIC, they said my file is still in Sydney.

I thought Received Line gone means local office transfer ?

What is your local office ?

Single applicant or Family applicant ?

:-X

Hi Polarbear,

Haha about time these things started moving again isn't it? :) I haven't called CIC so I don't know what's going on with my application (single) or what my local office is. I'm from Toronto if that helps. The disappearance of the received line seems to be shrouded in mystery, ah well the wait goes on...
