PLEASE STOP SPEAKING TAGALOG IN THE ENGLISH THREADS.

As mentioned above there are ubiquitous 100% filipino threads everywhere on this board where tagalog can be freely spoken!

the author of this thread didn't say such thing as "PLEASE STOP SPEAKING TAGALOG IN THE ENGLISH THREADS"..
are you sure this is an english thread? if you believe so, you can ask the author of this to remind members, because with respect to her she has more right to say so.. :P

Hi DsWifey.
Sorry to intervene here but I believe the author of this thread started it for March Applicants and she/he has only made 12 messages here and since has disappeared.
I do not agree with thekindofguy demanding this in the way he did, but let me remind you that this forum is being supported by people from around the world and not only Filipinos.
Please read my message of about a week ago!

Hello to all March Applicants

Most of you might remember me. I am messenger (AKA Tom) from February 2013 thread. I feel very connected to all my friends here in March and I do drop by from time to time to read your good news (despite the strike)
But Lately I find this more hard to do as every time I enter the thread I can hardly read anything because the language being used here is Tagalog.

As you all know these forum is open and full of diverse and lovely people from every part of our beautiful planet. But not everyone is a Filipino here! Smiley (although I love hearing Tagalog in real life because its like music to my ears) it is very hard for me and I am sure for many other Non-Filipino members to understand the meaning of any message here!

Filipinos are blessed as they are mostly bilingual (English and Tagalog) and so far I have never met one that doesn't speak English. I know because I lived with them many many years and I am also related to Filipinos. (I have a Filipino Godchild)

I come from a country that we are not taught English as a second language and I learned my English mostly in the street. Here in this forum and threads except Greeks (like me Cheesy ) there are Swedes, Fins, Dutch, Italians, German, Austrians, Pakistanis, Kenyans, Americans, Canadians, Albanians,Croatians, so just imagine that if we started speaking to each of our country people in our own language there would be a modern Babel!

I am sure that there are many threads in this forum that are language specific and Pinoy's are the most popular.

You are entitled to of course continue using your own language as this is an open forum but then one by one other people from other nationalities will start making less and less frequent visits here as this forum has been a second home to many of us!

If my message is offending to anyone here, I humbly apologize as I was not meant to be insulting to anyone and especially to my good friends! Most of you by now already know me!

Regards

Dswifey - it is sort of understood that the language to be used is english unless specifically stated otherwise such as " 100% pure pinoy applicants ".

As mentioned by others, this forum is full of people from around the world who come here looking for valuable information.

Flooding every post with tagalog only helps to isolate people from each other which is the opposite of what the goal of a forum like this is.

But you can stick your tongue out at me and speak in whatever language you want. This is after all an internet forum where you can do as you please.

Hi kindofguy. How did you fill up the appendix A? Does it need to include family members even though they're not accompanying yoh to Canada? And how did you send your PPR? Is it via courier or dropbox? Thank you. ;)

Elle - in the email that my wife received there was a definition of family members which we interpreted as being children which neither of us have. I was originally under the assumption that we needed to include every relative in the world but the definition in their email was quite clear. I am not sure if you also received it?

We sent it via lbc.

Subsection 1(3) of the Regulations defines “family member” in respect of a person as (a) the spouse or common-law partner of the person; (b) a dependent child of the person or of the person’s spouse or common law partner; and (c) a dependent child of a dependent child referred to in paragraph (b). Please consult section 2 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations for the definitions for “Common law partner” and “dependent child”.

Alright. I'd like to confirm it. Thank you! ;)

Hi dear how are you?
No misunderstanding whatsoever from my part. It would have been an ideal world if we could all communicate in our own language and others interpreted automatically hahahaha :) :)

I visited the Philippines so many times in the last 5 years but as the saying goes you cannot teach an old dog new tricks. I find tagalog an enjoyable lingo to hear (it's sorta like singing) but I am totally unable to read it or speak it!

Have a nice day and I am also sure that thekindofguy did not mean ill!

Peace brothers as we are facing a common challenge, CIC!

Tom
