If I were you, I'd call them up. My buddy who applied a couple months earlier than me called them 'cause he hasn't received any SA email or snail mail. The guys from Immigration told him he was approved about a month prior to the phone call.

Hey, i called them just now. They quoted that they sent the email to mississauga on the 30th of april and there's still no response from them. There was no reason for thr hold up according to the agent. Told me to call back within the next 2-3 weeks. :( it's taking longer than i expected.

Thank you Lia. :( My husband and I are pretty much expecting our app. is going to be one long journey for us. So we decided that if we don't get much response from cic within this year, it's either I go home for a visit or he comes here for a visit. Is that possible or are we going to have a problem because we have an on-going app with cic?

dont worry probably it is taking longer here but once it hits your visa office it gets faster than you think dont lose hope!!! and about taking that vacation yes you can go back and visit him and then come back to canada about him coming here if he got a visa i dont see any problem and if your thinking about applying for a visitor visa for him i dont know you can always do that but they will probably denied it

I thought most of us would have gotten stage 2 AOR by first week in May. I guess not hahahaha. On ecas says med receieved guess won't have to wait on that part once it comes up but this is getting frustrating. I thought Vienna office was supposed to be quicker then most VO's. I know it's still early. Just venting a bit. Hope we all hear some good news soon.

You'll have yours soon. I've a co-worker who came here 3 months ago and his visa office is also Vienna. His app lasted only 3months before he landed here. :)

Oh yeah. :( I forgot. They'd think he'll over stay! I'm still optimistic about it. :D Thank you! :) It's so expensive to go home lol. That's why I wanted him to come here. haha. But I hope I get news this month, if not I'll call back right away.

Hi Kimnavarro

Are you a PR or a Canadian Citizen??
Because if you are a PR you will have to remain in Canada for the duration of your application... they do allow short trips... maybe a week or two.. Just something to consider if you are planning on going home
I would call CIC-M everyday... you are past the processing time indicated on the CIC website.

I know i've heard of a couple of cases where the whole process lasts 3 months but i don't think we will be so lucky hahaha :) I think it all depends on the visa officer and a bit of luck. I'm considering going to visit my wife but she said not to waste money if we expect the process to be done this summer. I really feel bad for the ones who have to wait over a year.

Thanks guys! and yes, I am a PR. What I know about it is you have to complete i think a 2 year stay here within the next 5 years from the day you became a PR.

I got my SA! Happy much! :))
