March 2013 Applicant

We sent our inland application in on February 9th last month and yet haven't received AOR. I extended my stay at the same day which I haven't heard from either.. oh I can tell this is going to be a long, long ride!!

You will look back on these days with fondness when you are finally landed...maybe : I've heard that looking back on it will seem like it went fast, but while going through it seems slow...oh well, you can while away the hours with us.

Oh I don't even know haha.. At least to get AOR would make my day. I made a huge mistake going inland I think.. when I had the chance of going outland! But oh well lol.. too late now I guess. Yes, I sure hope so. I found time flies these days, but sitting at home day in day out can drive one pretty insane (at least that's my case) The day I'm a landed immigrant is going to be celebrated SO badly! :-D

Lol yeah i live in Kitchener Ontario and weather here isn't at bad as Alberta but still since im Cuban it is still bad for me but yeah i hope you receive your AOR soon good luck with the process too

Line.a, I hear you! This winter has been way too long. I am waiting for that golden email too and my hubby probably even more. I am pretty sure he is tired of my whining hehe. He told me the other day that if we manage to survive this, we will survive just anything as a couple!

Yes, that's what my partner told me too.. I can definitely tell he's getting a little tired of me asking him to check his e-mail and stressing out about things I possibly could have added to the application lol. You guys are going the outland route though - aren't you?

Your hubby is most definitely right if we can survive this we can survive anything lol. It's probably the most difficult thing.. I never realised i'd be so tough. My life is basically put on hold while waiting for this, I can't wait to get out of it

yes, we are applying outland, although I have been here in Canada for almost two years now without a job so we thought it would be an easier and faster process.

I am exactly the same.. 2 years.. but I worked for a year however. Lucky you, I should have chosen outland, but never got around it being too busy with everything. I almost got denied entry after some frequent travelling through where I used to live and here lol.. bad idea, so I got a warning so I am literally too scared to leave and re-enter ^^

really? aren't you entitled to travel back and forth as many times as you want? what kind of a warning did you get? the last IO I had to deal with at the border wasn't the nicest either...

I thought so, but I was very wrong lol. I probably travelled a whole 6-7 times not only home but to other countries as well. They obviously knew I was travelling with my boyfriend, but then I went home to sort out a move from the UK to Denmark where I was born to be able to get a work visa, and then travelled back to Canada and that's when I got in trouble lol.. But i had no idea that i was a target. Should have known better, but i got through it - i'd rather not do anything now, just stay lawfully and not screw it up!

I got pulled in to a closed room with an officer who asked me a ton of questions - even about things such as me moving from another country before and some of my travels (which is a fair bit) i was being honest and acknowledging my mistake though!

I've just spoken to CIC this morning. Just want to share some information about the processing time. For the Mississauga office, as of today (April 9th 2013), they are processing the applications received on March 4th 2013). The processing time as of now is 30 days. We should be expecting some sort of responds 30 days after they received your application.
