Hi Everyone,

We just recieved an email from the Mailla office requesting more documention. We originally applied in November 2012 and were hoping to get our visa soon. This is for a common law visa and they are asking for the following items.

1. A police clerance from Germany for my wife (she lived there for 6-months about 10-years ago!!).
2. An Appendix "A" which is weird (I think) because she does not have any children.
3. A complete family register, translated. (I also don't understand why since we sent this already).
4. A divorce certificate for her. (This is clearly stated on her family register).
5. Documentary evidence of your sponsor’s intent to re-establish in Canada. (easy as I am now in Canada and working).
6. Proof of co-habitation for over a year. (Again, we sent this in already).

Our problem is now we are both in Canada waiting for her visa which will make getting these papers very difficult. Also, we have already submitted and paid for a translation of the family register and are wondering why they wouldn't have this paper already. We do not have the original anymore (we sent it to them) but, we still have a copy of the translation.

Any ideas on how we can proceed???

I dunno why they are asking documents that you have sent already, but if you still have a copy of those, then just send it to them again :)

1. Is there any way that you can get a PC from Germany thru online?
2. They always ask for Appendix A for almost everyone, with or without children. This is just to confirm that you have declared the necessary people that should be included in your family list, and in the future, people who aren't listed will never be able to be sponsored in Canada.
3. Just send a new one
4. Sending a new one will definitely solve this
5. No problem, as you said.
6. Just send them the proofs again.

I know it's annoying why they needed to ask for documents that you have already sent. But just think about this as your final steps, after sending all these, you're wait is to be over, you'll get the Visa soon. Looking at your timeline, it isn't too bad of a wait since you submitted December 2012.

All the best! :)
