I am leaving US for past 8 years on H-1 and I got my Canadian PR card 2 years ago. Now looking for options to keep my card alive, what will be the best way in my case.

Is there any way, if I work in US and have residence in Canada. Let's say, my company have branches in Canada and they may re-hire in Canada and send to US office. Any thoughts on it ? Please...

Thanks

In order for the time you spend outside of Canada to count towards your PR residency requirement, you would first have to return to Canad and take a permanent role in Canada for several months. Once you have worked this role for some time, if your company then transfer you to a permanent role outside of the US, this time would then likely count towards PR.

If your company hires you in Canada and then immediately sends you to the US, this time won't be counted and CIC will say that you are just trying to find a way around the residency requirement rules.

Sounds like you're close to the point where you will have to choose between your job and your PR status.
