Hallelujah!!!!! Congrats!!!! That's super awesome yay :D

Just curious, and if you don't mind sharing, did you have any red flags/complications in your application?

In any case, that's great you're almost done with all this and can move forward with your lives together in Canada :)

No redflags that I know.
PS. PPR came from New York, not Lavo.
Interesting, that's great :D Nice to hear that they seem to be processing applications more efficiently than in the earlier pages of this thread.

My lawyer told us that you can have PPR request from either LA or New York. She has seen that.

Similarly, interview can be at either place. From what I have read on this forum - interview is just formality to confirm relationship. Interview is a good sign that you are almost approved.

Good news, our application is done. My wife received her passport today with visa :)
Where did you sent your passport to LA or ottawa?

Seems like the processing time here has improved. I'm glad to see many recent applicants get PPR less than a year after submitting their app! I unfortunately was one of those who got to experience the infamous LA delay but I'm so relieved it's finally over after 15 months of limbo in this office (got my COPR last month!). Also, from what I've been reading from some of your posts and from what I've experienced as well...it does not necessarily mean that you will get an interview if your app got transferred here. We were not called for an interview although we were expecting it since that is what a lot of people said about this office. However, there will most likely be a delay. I know it's hard to do, but try to be calm and be patient. Trust that it will eventually be over soon! :)

Yeah when our application got transferred to LA and I first read through all the pages of this thread, it completely dashed my hopes of timely processing... but many of the recent timelines are looking more promising for sure.
That's super cruddy yours took 15 months D: But congrats on finally getting to the end!! Hope your transition to life in Canada goes as smoothly as possible :D

It’s been 29 days since I submitted my passport. Still haven’t heard anything since. Any idea why it’s taking this long?

That sucks, sorry to hear that :( Did you already try sending in a webform to ask what's going on? Hopefully the COPR gets to you soon :confused:

I sent a webform 2 weeks ago to ask for confirmation that they have received the passport. No response from there either. I cannot log in to gckey for any other information since we hired a lawyer.

Hmm... I feel like the only other thing you could try in order to reach them directly would be calling them, though apparently most people are put on hold for hours before they get through to speak with someone...
Maybe you could also try starting a new thread and seeing if more experienced members have advice for you? I find the experienced members don't always check the threads that have more than a few pages. Hope you get an answer soon :x

My wife and I called them when she visited me, but they said they cannot get any information since we sent the passport to Los Angeles. The only way to request for information is through webform. I hope it comes soon.

Ah that sucks the regular line couldn't get you any answers. I searched for the LA Visa Office contact info and they have a phone number listed for Visa and Immigration Services as 213-346-2700 on their website (https://www.international.gc.ca/world-monde/country-pays/united_states-etats_unis/los_angeles.aspx?lang=eng). Maybe if you still don't hear anything from them next week, that could be the last ditch attempt to reach them directly? :x Hopefully it doesn't come to that though ^^;
