Hi Guys
I am new to this Forum, but I'd like to share everyone my timelines.
My LMIA has been submitted in Feb 16, 2016, and has been approved in March 31st. A few more than 6 weeks.
NOC Code: 2174, for a high wage, so I believe it may have had higher priority than low wage ones.
Hope this helps others, ansious like me, to have an estimate on your own timelines.
Cheers,
Mulho

Awesome. Lucky you!
I'm applying again next week for the same NOC (2174) to Calgary. Which province are you going to?

Wow, that was quick!!! Way to go!!!

After following this topic for some time and after my own experience I would be so bold to suggest that the factor determining the length of LMIA processing which stands out the most is the person, the ESDC officer who performs the assessment. Don’t get me wrong, I am not implying it is the only factor or that one officer is better than the other, what I mean is that it greatly depends on a particular situation, how many cases one officer is handling, his/hers personal views, how familiar he/she is with certain positions and similar individual tendencies. However, I’m sure in many cases other factors may have had greater role, but in general I think the officer is the main determinant of the LMIA processing time. That being so, predicting some, more or less, standard LMIA processing time, it is pure conjecture.

In my case, the first attempt at getting a positive LMIA, it took the officer only 16 days to issue the refusal, while it is now 7 weeks and counting for the second attempt with (almost certainly) a different officer.

I may be reaching a little bit here, but guys, feel free to weigh in.

Hi everybody! I've done a little research on all the posts on this topic (page 1 to 176) regarding the positive/approved LMIA's and the main results are as follows:

- Total No. of positive/approved LMIA's = 73 (4 posts without time lines)
- Total average processing time (from the sent date to approval date) = 94.2 days (13,5 weeks)
- Shortest processing time = 10 days (there are 2 additional cases that took 13 days)
- Longest processing time = 309 days (there are only 4 additional cases which took more than 200 days = 240, 237, 214 and 202 days, respectively)
- Average processing time when the outliers are removed (shortest and longest processing times) = 92,3 days (no significant difference in comparison with total average processing time)
- NOC with most No. of positive/approved LMIA's = 7321 (4)
- Other NOC's with more than 1 positive/approved LMIA = 0631, 2173, 2174, 7283 (3); 0621, 2171, 6211, 7271 (2)
- All but 1 positive/approved LMIA, which people reported, were issued for the 3 provinces: Alberta (19), Ontario (18), British Columbia (9), Northwest Territories (1); no information (26)

I hope you will find this insightful, if not helpful; comments are welcomed.

Great job, Krout! Thanks a lot.
Shamrock 16, may I ask what was the reason of refusal, and what was the NOC code?

Thank you so much.

Greate Job.

I think this topic is amazing. But it would be great to have a specific one just to post timelines and nothing else.

Hey guys, my NOC is 6216. The reason last time we got refused was they didn't feel our employer tried hard to hire Canadian people.
Krout really did amazing job! Thank you so much!
