I'd suggest you not to share info like that since it's illegal for employee to pay for LMIA process.

I didnt said that I paid for my LMIA.. employer is the one applying for it so They are the one paying for it NOT EMPLOYEE or ME.

Hi everyone,

I've received a job offer where employer is open to supporting my LMIA application but would like more information. I don't think they really know what they are getting themselves into, but I'd at least want to try to give them all the information for them to make the decision whether they'd like to go ahead...

I've been researching, but could only find the form, but not much in terms of an application guide or steps or instructions.

I found the form here: http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eforms/forms/esdc-emp5517%282014-09-018%29e.pdf

Does anyone know where I might be able to find out exactly what other forms/documents are required for the application and/or guides of some sort?

Noc Code: 1123
Hourly rate: 37.50
Status: Restoration of work permit (rejected on August 19, applied for restoration on August 26) -- this might be tricky part

Look forward to any advice! Thank you in advance dear friends and best of luck to all.

I'm on my 9th week since my file number and today the third question comes in via email - this time it's about defining my Transition Plan. They requested a phone call to discuss, our lawyers are speaking with them next week.

I'm obviously in BC and the email is from a guy in Alberta... it really does seem that Alberta SC offices are the only ones that are open for business!
I'm not complaining at least someone is on it!

Our Transition Plan was based on sponsorship for residency, but we didn't go into detail. They need to provide dates/benchmarks on when they plan to submit the PR. I suppose I'll know more next week.

Well, that's weird, since the offices for BC, as well as SK and MB are in Vancouver. The address on the file number we received was the Vancouver one and the call was from that office as well, hmmm... ::)

The file number letter we received had the Vancouver office on there. The officer works out of Edmonton for the Western Region. Poor guy probably has loads of applicants to deal with.

Hi there, as much as I hate saying this to ruin your mood today but I have to.. bro, KIJIJI is not acceptable JOBSITE ads for service canada.. that happened to me samething last July, my Employer submitted LMIA application with just only JOB BANK (connected to SASKJOB) and Kijiji for one month.. VO phoned my Boss after 2months of waiting just to say Ads is not acceptable kijiji is not acceptable, we wasted 3months.. thats why now we are running of time for another LMIA application that submitted OCT1 after advertising JOB BANK, INDEED and ZIPCRUITER.. We put ADS running from SEPTEMBER 1 until the decision made (hopefully soon) and it keeps on charging every month for that online ads (except job bank - free)

Yes nobody cares but us because its our future at stake here.. Some employer (not all) wont bother to pay Ads, since they are paying 1000$ for proccessing LMIA.. for them thats too much to ask.. so do your Ads your own, make sure you have mandatory required format (Company Name, full address, Telephone number, contact person (your boss), work description, salary, benifits, fax number and your boss email Address)

Yes, I know kijiji is not acceptable way of advertisement but who make employer understand. They just do not listen sometime. I would be more worried about this thing if I would have paid for LMIA. But if LMIA get decline I have nothing to loose but time.

I would love to do advertisement my own if I would be inside the country. I am not in Canada so dont really wanna do the adds from India. Never met my employer in person yet.

I dont understand why employers cannot just spend another 300-400 bucks for add if they have already spent $1000 for LMIA fee. Well, lets see what happen who cares..

Jay's ad was on kijiji and they accepted it....

Btw still no news here.

Applied: mid Sept
Fee charged: 2nd week of October

Ad on Jobbank expiring on Wed (Dec 3), can it be renewed (so it can have same number) or what?

Mine was expired on Nov 19, my company probably just renewed it because it was the same, and on 24 nov i got rejeted.

Did they say why it got rejected, putting ad on Job Bank is free I believe so the companies should watch all the time on those ads because if they are not constant on job bank it is a reason for rejection.
