Oh no sorry to hear about the rejections :( doesn't make me feel very positive

We are waiting on the lawyer to chase up this week and apparently our employer is getting a form from his lawyer I presume on how to answer questions from SC.

I just want an answer so we can move on with our lives, so hard being in limbo.

Good luck everyone still waiting

Most of the people here are getting rejections .. I am also worrying ... Have been waiting for 6 weeks

Just got email from my employer, my LMIA application is REFUSED :(
Reasons: * You have not demonstrated sufficient efforts to hire Canadians in the occupations
* All advertisements must include the location of work and business adress
* All advertisement must include benefits package being offered

Explanation from my lawyer: The decision to reject, especially in relation to work address and business address is part of a shift in processing policy that has recently come about. The business address requirement in the advertising used to be met by satisfying the Officer that there would be no confusion as to where the employment was located

Again change of laws, and wages for provinces and occupations and mistakes from my lawyer leading to this decision. I don't blame SC at all.
My employer will probably resubmit application with new advertisement. This process will take another 2-3 months probably.
I am desperate, and will try now to find open lmia anywhere while waiting for this position.

My timeline:

NOC: 7311 - Mobile scale Mechanic/Technican
Wage: 30.00$
Province: Alberta

LMIA application sent via Xpresspost: October 17
File number and charged: October 22
Refusal: November 24

Sigh. Sorry about this decision and the position it now places you in. For a while we had no decisions now everyone is a refusal. On the plus side your application was processed really quickly. All the best in your future endeavours.

Sorry to hear that KIK4 . Yes i agree with you, SC cannot be blamed for this. I dont know why these lawyers screw it up. I dont understand the point in paying them. Good luck with the new LMIA and also you may wanna keep an eye on express entry which may open some doors. Hopefully

am on 8th weeks, like all of you guys waiting patiently, I am just worried my work permit expires December 31, as well as my Driving License and Vehicle License Plate, I dont know what should do to extend my stay while waiting for LMIA decision, I believe I cant be in Implied status as my work category and job description changed. really frustrated.

if you send a work permit application based on the LMIA you are waiting for before your current one expires, then you will still be in implied status until they process the work permit app. Doesn't matter that the job description changed, you'll have implied status under the conditions of your previous work permit.

Sorry to hear about you. I have noticed one thing that employers and lawyers do not care much about fulfilling the LMIAs requirements. I remember when my employer applied for my lmo last time he did not mentiond that she will pay for my travel and make arrangements for accomodation and lmo got declined.

This time he only had two advertisements running for one month. One on job bank and one on kijiji.. Even I told him to put up another advertisement but who care.. still waiting for the decision though..lets see what happen. LMIA still in process and no job advertisements going at the moment from my employer!

Guys any updates from today..Looks like everyone is busy in THANKSGIVING.

No updates. I doubt it has anything to do with Thanksgiving as it's in October in Canada.

Hi there, as much as I hate saying this to ruin your mood today but I have to.. bro, KIJIJI is not acceptable JOBSITE ads for service canada.. that happened to me samething last July, my Employer submitted LMIA application with just only JOB BANK (connected to SASKJOB) and Kijiji for one month.. VO phoned my Boss after 2months of waiting just to say Ads is not acceptable kijiji is not acceptable, we wasted 3months.. thats why now we are running of time for another LMIA application that submitted OCT1 after advertising JOB BANK, INDEED and ZIPCRUITER.. We put ADS running from SEPTEMBER 1 until the decision made (hopefully soon) and it keeps on charging every month for that online ads (except job bank - free)

Yes nobody cares but us because its our future at stake here.. Some employer (not all) wont bother to pay Ads, since they are paying 1000$ for proccessing LMIA.. for them thats too much to ask.. so do your Ads your own, make sure you have mandatory required format (Company Name, full address, Telephone number, contact person (your boss), work description, salary, benifits, fax number and your boss email Address)

I voluteered to pay the ADS thru my credit card itself and ADS running from SEPTEMBER 1 until the decision made (hopefully soon) and it keeps on charging my credit card every month for that online ads (except job bank - free)

I'd suggest you not to share info like that since it's illegal for employee to pay for LMIA process.
