The worst i have heard was from Salil. When his employer called SC to ask for the status, they mentioned that the agent dealing with their case is off to a vacation in CUBA. Lol . Can u beat this?

Wow, how professional, they could have just said its still in process.

Haha, I wouldn't be suprised that something similar is going on with my SC agent.
Next week is 5th week, I am just hoping that my timeline will be like jay's 6 weeks

When is your restoration period finishing Dhillon ?

My Restoration didn't started yet .... but my previous WP expired in first week of Ocotber .. and before that expiry i applied for WP extension and still waiting for reply ... so im currently on Implied Status.

Its 10th week for me n no news yet.employer calls SC n they said its yet to be assessed. The project starts 1st December n the employer indicated they might not be able to wait any further. I've literally given up now. Life's so bloddy unfair. Wish the Sc agents would find time to read through our posts :'(

Is there anyway possible to get things moving apart from just sobbing n praying :'(

My application was started on August 14, and on September 11 we received file number. In the mean time my employer contacted Service Canada and on two occasions they have told him that it will be processed in two weeks. That was 6 weeks ago. Two weeks ago, on Wednesday 05 November, they told my employer that it will be done any day now and if we don't hear from them within a week, to give them a call.
Still nothing.
I am really frustrated the way Service Canada is handling LMIA applications. They are slow, unefficent and they don't keep to their own timeline.

Hiii friends I m from Punjab. LMIA Application sent to the department on October 13 . Welder Alberta 32 per hour wage .. Still no response from service Canada.. They haven't contact to my employer yet. Can anybody share such kind of experience please ........

22 Ji this wait is normal here. I been waiting for my LMIA since 1st Sep ; however, my LMIA is lower skilled. I recon your employer contact HRSDC if your LMIA fall in 10 days processing. I noticed in some post that until employer tell HRSDC that the LMIA fall in 10 day period they process the high wage LMIA under normal processing which is currently 12-20 weeks. If your employer will do a follow up and inform that your LMIA fall in 10 days processing there are chances that they could process it faster.

Hello everyone, can you tell me if it's possible for truck driver to apply for pnp/ sinp without lmia? I'm wondering if we can do this while we wait LMIa decision? Thanks so much. Great thread.

Hi Kate, I dont see this occupation in the SINP Designated trades. For more information please refer to http://www.saskapprenticeship.ca/designated-trades/

I believe SINP is a very good choice if you have a job offer. The good thing about SINP is that chances to get work permit is high with the support letter from SINP. This is a fast way to get PR.

I do not suggest pnp even when your husband get WP, there is waiting timeline approx. 2 years in Alberta. Canadian Experience Class after 1 year or if you will be lucky maybe your husband get invitation to apply with Express Entry for PR. Let somebody correct me if I am wrong.

2 weeks have passed since lady from SC contacted my employer and since then we can't reach her. Probably my papers are just sitting and waiting for her to conduct interview with employer and then it will be either approved or declined ???

You are corrrect! However, SINP is significantly faster compare to AINP. Thats what a good lawyer told me.
