Had an update from the employer. We do now have an officer assigned to our case and he asked questioned (not sure what was asked), the officer has said he will give an answer "soon". The lawyer has said from that point he expects the answer in around a week. He also said that with the new LMIA procedures, the officer has to get their decision approved by their manager, which is the hold up now.

Fingers crossed I am now in the final stage, and a decision is right around the corner.

For info, we got the file number on Oct 7th, The application is in Ontario.

Thats great man. Finally files are moving in ontario

This thread is so good, well done everyone for sticking together with info; so good to see LMIAs finally being processed, what a horrible time we've all had, quiet quiet quiet, now some positives.

My employer told me that sc have interviewed my employer and result will be declare by next week hopefully

Hi I need some advice my employer have a pre approved LMIA and he send my documents to service canada to add the name. Now its 2 months no answer, the catagory is bookkeeper and the wage is $ 21 the company is in Alberta. Can you please advice me that what that mean is it a positive or negative and how much time it takes to add the name.

Hi rayhan, from what i've seen lately there are some applicants who wait even longer. Basicaly there ahouldnt be issues because the employer has been approved, which ne he/she will put they dont care. What they care about is that later when you apply for your work permit you satisfy job requirements frim the ad, and based on that they approve it or decline
