Live-in caregiver PR applicants for April,May and June timeline

IM NEW IN THIS FORUM. I'm applying my PR and OWP January 2012.YESTERDAY I CHECKED THE CIC WEBSITE THEN I'M SHOCKED WHEN I SEE THE PROCESSING TIME NOW THEY MAKE IT LONGER i'M SO SAD..i HAVE MY HUSBAND IN THE PHILIPPINES We don't expect the processing time will longer again huhuhu..

Please advice me. Thanks

@poknat- How many employers did you have? You came to work for your family?

I had my process for a work visa ( changing employers) once transferred to the local office, in vancouver...it was when I changed employers for the first time...because my lovely employer, after i quit because she was abusive and never paid me, she wrote a letter for the immigration office asking them to deport me. Of course they did not believed on her but this situation delayed my work permit for 3 months...

Sometime employers can be more evil than you think...

Guyz,

This is really is it! I have my OWP now, my ecas has changed last night. This morning @ 9am I phoned CIC, accdg to the agent, they sent my OWP last Nov 01. And now @ 2pm I got it from the mailbox. Wow! so fast! this is an answered prayer! Lord, thank you!

I don't know the feeling right now. It's indescribable!

CONGRATS KISHIA! Yeah so fast! I hope mine too...why is it til now no update yet on my ecas...huhuhu

i had 2 employers. but there's nothing wrong. i quit my 1st employer when i had already my WP to the 2nd employer and requested an ROE to the 1st one. and i submmited the ROE together with my application.

Hi poknat I think CIC needs further assessment because of changes of your marital status. Ive heared of it from the lawyer who works at domestic workers association in Vancouver that changes of marital status from the application under LCP could cause the application for OWP and PR to delay processing.

Hi there!

Go in CIC visa office website (buffalo, wherever is close to you)
You will find all the information there under TRV (temporary resident visa) which also refers as re-entry visa by others leaving Canada and plan to return. Hope it helps!

maybe. but one of my friend who did also got married before he applied his PR and OWP application receive his OWP already lastweek same situation with me.and im way 2 weeks ahead of him, Single when he entered here to canada then got married before filling his application. and they didin't transfer his application to local CIC.unlike mine
