Live-in caregiver PR applicants for April,May and June timeline

Did everyone get their OWP with a cover letter? Does PR comes after a couple of weeks like those of single applicants? Pls reply po tnx

Ireceived 2 mails from cic.one is the owp and the other one is a generic letter.PR will just be issued to applicants with dependents if they are done with bckground checks and medical of our dependents.No ones know when would it be.the important now is our owp.at least we can work while they are processing our PR.

this is the latest news on my application. the secretary of the MP here emailed the CIC vancouver and here's the response
maybe il will be interviewed. Shocked

my file was referred to there office for further processing in early June, 2011. It will be at least six to seven months before the file is assigned to an officer, at which point the applicant will be contacted directly if further information is required to make a decision.



I've been informed that our office received the LCP file in mid-September. It is waiting to be assigned to an officer for review. Unfortunately, I am unable to provide a time frame. According to the CIC website, the most up to date estimate for LCP processing time is 18 months. I believe the estimate refers to those cases that are granted first-stage approval at CPC-Vegreville. In situations where a file is referred to a local office due to a required interview with the client, the processing time can be longer than what is indicated on our website.

i want to renew my workpermit im currently working on the same employer. my workpermits is already expired last may 10 2011, do u think its still possible to renew my workpermit? what's the requirement? coz im planning to go home next year.

Wait out for your OWP. It's best to have a current WP at the time you submit your PR/OWP app.

yha but the problem is i don't know when are they sending it. coz its been transfered here in CIC Vancouver it takes 6-7 months upon transferring for there decision Shocked im so helpless and hopeless. good thing i still have a Job

To renew wp you need to ask your employer to renew also your LMO if you stay more than 4 yrs in canada. Then apply wp online, but your almost there. Just wait for your owp is the best plan and then make plan for vacation.

did you pass under option 1 or option 2?did you complete it under 4 years?call center agent said they transfer the file to local cic for further processing if they dont transfer it to local cic office then you wont get delay

Good to know there is a way because considering the time her WP expired, it's way beyond the time to restore.

@shelenon i did option1, yha i knw it takes further processing.. it was trasferred may 18 2011 to cic vancouver and it takes 6-7 months to be given to an officer for decision.

Why you don't just apply for this new super visa in December? it's easier and faster! She can come with 10 years visa and stay here for 2 years with out get off from the country.

Hi, as far as I know CIC is NOT accepting new applications since Nov 5th, and they might do it up to 24 months. So I was wondering how would my mother be qualified as live-in nanny without taking the caregiver course for 7 months? Thanks
