Hi everyone
I'm also a Live-in Caregiver, started working almost 1 year ago. When I decided to do this here in Canada, the waiting time for OWP was 6 month... well, this changed and like many others, I think it is NOT fair!!
I'm not going into details since it is more than clear what everybody is frustrated and mad about!
If there will be a public protest, I will be there!!!

I didn't get any other letter yet. just the OWP. But CIC called my ex-employer last monday asking about me. I was in "Shock" and never though I was gonna get it too soon. also I am not able to see my ecas on internet any more. I don't know why.

I am a little bit too far from ON and AB to get together and do the protest, but If I were there I would really do it because I totally understand all the frustrations.

Hello All. just want it to share and keep giving hope to all of you. Finally after 15.5 months I got my OWP for a year. Please keep praying and think possitive. I totally understand it is sooo hard and frustrating, I almost "kill myself"... seriously, I lost a lot of hair because of this stressful situation, but finally it is here. I hope I get that letter for the PR interview soon.

I just checked my ecas and they updated it-which is weird cuz it's Saturday and last night there was nothing!!
Here is what it says now:

We received your application for permanent residence on June 24, 2010.

We started processing your application on September 8, 2010.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted.

We sent you a letter on September 29, 2011 to ******** Ontario, Canada, about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. If we have sent the letter to the wrong address, please contact us.

I am soooooo excited, I hope it's good news!
