my friend was july 15,2010 applicant..got open work permit last dec 2010..her husband recd lic2 kit last month already....

Hi, girls! I have a question. A friend of mine came to Canada last week under the "live-in caregiver's" program The employer did all her papers as a live-in caregiver from the very beginning, but in her work permit she got at Toronto airport it says "Occupation - janitors, caretakers" Is that what they write now or it's some kind of a mistake? She is very busy at her work and doesn't really have a chance to call the immigration and wait for an hour on the phone. Any ideas? Thanks a lot!

Nothing...I called CIC few weeks ago and they said that I may have to wait more 5/6 months....if they don't cancel the PR under the LCP until there...what it's not impossible after all this messy.

Unbelievable how disrespectful turned this program...

But what can I do right?

CiC Call Center Agents are not immigration officers they have no idea about our applications. when they say something about the status of each applications it is only their own opinion that they based also in your ecas update and not officially came from cic office.and you know it right? just have more patience and soon it will be your turn to be a permanent resident of canada its nice to see you around again strikenannies...Goodluck!

2 of my Friends here in Montreal, Quebec who is July 2010 applicant got their Aprroval in Principle last 3 wks ago.
and they're doing the August applicant.

It usually takes 2-3 weeks for cic to update the changes in your ecas, i also made some new changes with my mailing addess last year thru online system but i also called up cic call center for inquiry if they are aware of it.

I called the CIC agent and he changed my address. I tried to change on line, but even in 3-4 weeks was my old address.
So will be better if you will call 1 888 242 2100 and change address by phone
