Let's share timeline, PGWP March applicant

Applied: May 31st (Full amount paid)
Blank Update: August 18
Status: Still waiting as of October 22nd (145 days later)

2 of my friends submitted in June (9th and 30th) and have both been approved...

Honestly had I known the online application was going to be like this I would have done a paper application.

I applied June 1 paid full, got a blank updates June 2, August 13 and August 22. Since early summer I've been telling my family 'I will be coming home next month" because the waiting time back then was 60 something days and now the time has almost tripled.

I can't tell you how FRUSTRATING this process has been while waiting in Toronto. I've lost out on a few jobs because of this and it really breaks me when I think about it. Hearing all of my other classmates who have found jobs while I'm waiting every single day for some kind of hope in this situation is just....sigh. I know I'm not the only one but just had to vent

To the person who created the Facebook page, a sincere thank you. I just liked it a few moments ago. I encourage everyone on this forum to like it. This message needs to get out

I just hope and pray I get this by December. I should say November but with CIC you really never know at this point

Hi Everyone,

I've been following this forum for the last few months, finally made my account to post as well. It's been good to get information from other applicants, and to know that the irritation and frustration is not just felt by me. The day I submitted my application, the processing was 89 days, it is ridiculous to see it at 145 today, not to mention they sometimes get stuck on the same date for 2-3 weeks at a time. I called CIC today again and the agent confirmed that getting a blank update means that the officer has looked at your application, frustrating to see that some people get the approval within 3-4 days of that update and some keep waiting.

I am supposed to fly to the US to see my family tomorrow and will just end up cancelling my flight by the looks of it, as I have yet to receive any approval email since my blank update two weeks ago. I have been on implied status since July 30th and working since before graduation, so leaving the country on this status is not an option for me. Here is my timeline:

Blank Update: (July 26, Aug 25th, Sep 24th: emails of no update), June 27th, Oct. 9th, Oct. 23rd: proper blank updates
Current Status: Waiting as of October 23rd (day 120)

Will be packing for my potential travel and praying that I get an approval email by tomorrow so that I can fly out of here to see my family.

Congrats farzan89 for your approval. Atleast someone has got approval this week and hopes are high now. Good to know they haven't forget the applications still need to be processed from the month of april and may.
They way things are going almost felt like they forgot about our files.

I applied for the extenstion for my PGWP as it was issued according to the expiry of my passport. So i applied again as i can't apply online so i applied paper application but i have applied on 13 October 2015 but still there is no confrimation or anything from CIC which i can present to my employer as they need something to verify my status in canada.

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

Exact same situation as mine. Did paper application around Sept 29 because I was issued PGWP previously for 1.5 year due to my passport expiry. I dont know if there is way to check status other than calling cic.

They are just killing International students:

1) Unacceptable delay in processing PGWP
2) Making things hard for International students when applying PR

I think they have pushed all mid May applicants to the lower end of the stack. This is very appalling. This is just so frustrating.

Awesome!!! I'm unemployed, submitted my application on the 11th of May, CIC is processing applications from June 5th and I still don't have a work permit yet. YAAAY!! Canada!!
