Hi everyone,

This is my status:

Applied on: May 13th
Blank updates on: July 27th and August 9th
Paid 100$ through the Online Payment System on: August 19th.

Still waiting for instructions to upload my receipt (I called the call center and they told me not to upload it on CSE...)

So as of today, I've been waiting for 102 days. When I applied in May the processing delay was 68 days lol, hard to go over it if they increase it every week...

Besides sharing my status regarding PGWP, I was wondering if you had any input regarding health insurance. My university health insurance is finishing on August 31st and I am only an intern at my work so I don't benefit from the employer's health insurance. I can't apply to the RAMQ (Im in Quebec) because I need the PGWP first... Should I pay for a private health insurance if I don't get my PGWP before August 31st? Can you recommend a certain one?

Thank you for everyone's help. The amount of information on this forum is amazing and super helpful!!

Hey guys

Just thought i'd add my information to the list as well.

Applied: May 6th 2015
Blank Updates: July 25, July 31
$100 Fee: Paid by CSE on Aug 19th, Requested receipt on MyCIC on Aug 21st, Submitted same receipt on MyCIC Aug 21st
Approval: Not yet
Work permit by mail: Not yet

Does anyone know approximately how much time it takes from getting the $100 notification to approval?

Hi Guys - glad to see we're all in the same boat...

My details:

Applied: May 15th 2015 along with an OWP for my spouse as I have been working with the same org on a part time basis and they provided the employment letter and pay slip
Blank Updates: July 29, Aug 7 (after paying the additional $100 through CSE)
Additional $100: August 7th through CSE. No request from CIC yet.
No approval or update yet...

It appears that they have started working on the May applications but what concerns me is that they aren't necessarily moving chronologically...

any updates on the April applicants?

The summer of the enigmatic entity
We only knew it as the CIC

How do they work? What is their way?
On this forum, we check every other day...

Thursdays, Friday's the day of hope,
processing times are down? Nope...

There's confusion in the air
May before April - that's unfair?

Jubear and the heroes keep us sane
This will all be worth the pain :p

On a serious note (to update my timeline)

Applied: May 28th
Blank Updates : Aug 10th, Aug 13th
Paid: $255 full

Hi everybody

My status:

Applied: May 7th
Blank Updates : every month
Paid: $155

Waiting for $100 request. I dont see any advantage paying before they request for it. What do you think? Thanks

Btw, I expect more delays since a lot of students graduated in April and submitted the application in the first days of May.

Cheers!

this is a very informative post and i thank you so much for keeping this alive, it gives me hope

however, I'm raising the issue of the current waiting times to my MP.
I think we should all do it, maybe if we raise our voice to the proper channels CIC could lower our processing times just as they did with the international students (their processing times were the same as ours until about 2 weeks ago when it dropped to half)

I don't think it's fair that last year it was taking about 2 weeks to get a PGWP and now they're charging $100 extra and they're taking over 4 months to process it

I think we should all raise our voice and send emails to our MPs so they can address this issue!

find your MP on the parliament website and send them an email, maybe we could make a difference.
That's what i did today. Went to my MP office. The lady there told me that 5 persons came to their office today to complain or seek help about PGWP application

I hope going to MPs will make a difference.

Hello esteemed Members and Viewers,

Just a heads up. The page for locating MPs on the Parliament of Canada website has been down for the past few hours.

I will keep you posted in that regard. Good luck guys and keep the positive vibe.

Cheers!

Hey Guys,

I applied May 7, no new messages or request to pay more money. Should I be worried?

I did get two emails saying that my application has been updated but when I checked I couldn't find anything. On 110 days now.

Hi Jubear,

I'm a newbie into the PGWP timeline discussion. I graduated from a 2 years full-time thesis-based Masters program on Aug 03, 2015. Applied for PGWP on Aug 08, 2015 with the letter of completion + copy of official transcript (merged as a single PDF document). My only concern is that I have traveled out of Canada 3 times while on Study Permit (twice to India with a duration of approx but less than 1 month each and for 1 day to the United States on B1/B2). I have a job offer here and I'm going to join soon (offer letter attached with a letter of explanation in the PGWP application) and my Study Permit is valid till Dec 01, 2015. Do you think that the aforementioned travels have any say in the PGWP application decision ????

I'm confused because somebody earlier posted that their PGWP was rejected due to travel outside of country during study period.

Looking forward to your response..

-regards,
Vasu.
