landing as a PR in Vancouver CIC office

So I called CIC this morning and asked the wait time for an appointment in Vancouver. I was told 3 weeks and asked to book the appointment.

They said the local office (Vancouver) will contact me.

I am confused though, does it mean that Vancouver CIC wont contact me for another 3 weeks or that the next available appointment is in 3 weeks time.

If its the former then I'm just going to the border as Im not waiting months and months in advanced

Forget this. I've had my appointment through so all is good.
