Hello all,

I own toyato camry LE 2010 model, which I am using for my first landing from US to Canada and will return in a week.

I saw at RIV site that my car is admissible but with a note for some modification like electronic Immobilizer and daytime running lamps. But electronic immobilization seems too costly.

Is electronic immobility really required? please suggest me what to do in this situation?

further car is on loan and not planning permenant import to canada later on too.

Further in explanation in (paragraph 9) it shows some exemption but whether it applies to my car is not confirmed.

Please advice me.

Thanks in advance.

I understand, that your car is registered in US, as long as you have valid registration and insurance you are fine to drive temporary, if you do not own the car and car is on loan from US, you will not be able to import it, all the modification are dealt with customs they will tell you what to do, but thats no an issue with it
