does anyone knows the process of switching over ur Jamaican license in Canada ?

If the applicant hasn't already left Jamaica obtain driving record (I think it's from the tax office) if already in Canada you will need to go to the nearest Jamaican Embassy or consulate and apply for driving history. You must bring the jamaican drivers liscense,passport, and pay a fee. I can't remember how much but not too much. It will take about a week to get the document. Then you take the paper along with ID to the drive test centre (assuming you live in Ontario) and you get credit based on how long you've had your drivers liscense.

Congratulations, and welcome to Canada! We've been blessed with a mild winter so far, but it will take some getting use to. How long did the process take for you since you submitted the application?

Everyone, there is a new pilot going for persons like myself you have not submitted their application yet under the new system. You can subscribe to receive a text message when we get your family class sponsorship. package. Subscribe in three simple steps:

1. Text “ENROLL” to 613-209-4020
You will receive a text response from a third-party service provider (Ulula) with a link to a PDF barcode form.
2. Print the barcode form
Click on the link texted to you to get the PDF barcode form. Print it and include it in your family class sponsorship package after the checklist.
3.Mail your completed family class sponsorship package
Make sure you include all supporting documents and the barcode form.
You will receive a text message confirmation when our mailroom gets your family class sponsorship package.

Wish i saw this earlier. I submitted at the end of last month.

I am over the moon my fellow forumians. My husband had his interview today and he got the visa on the spot. We had already bought a ticket for tomorrow from about two weeks ago .

This forum was a great help and all the interview questions that he was asked we had practiced Bec they are here on the forum.
